Grammar focus (Grammatica)
❖ I verbi ausiliari sono messi prima degli altri verbi nelle frasi per dar loro un
significato addizionale.
❖ Il verbo ausiliare “may” è usato per descrivere possibiltà o chiedere/dare
permessi formali. Aggiungere “not” dopo “may” per fare frasi negative.
E.g.）It may rain tomorrow. (Può piovere domani)
It may not rain tomorrow. (Può non piovere domani)
May I sit down? (Posso sedermi？)
You may go home soon. (Puoi andare a casa presto)
You may not go home soon. (Non puoi andare a casa presto)
❖ Il verbo ausiliare “might” è usato per descrivere una piccola possibilità.
Aggiungere “not” dopo “might” per fare frasi negative.
E.g.）I might attend the meeting. (Potrei partecipare al meeting)
I might not attend the meeting. (Potrei non partecipare meeting)
It might rain tomorrow. (Potrebbe piovere domani)
It might not rain tomorrow. (Potrebbe non piovere domani )
