KQ hoist achieves M6(ISO) / 3m(FEM) class with a
duty cycle of 40/20%. Supporting use in the most
demanding environments and conditions, KQ hoist is a
heavy duty product also applicable to high frequency or
long lift operations.
The gearbox is lubricated in an oil bath, improving wear
and tear and enhancing cooling at the same time.

SMOOTH AND ERGONOMIC OPERATION
Inverter
The dual speed inverter delivers smoother movement than
the pole change motor, reducing load swing. The high to
low speed ratio can be set to a large value. This results in
smooth starts, improved low speed stops, and improved
positioning accuracy. The standard speed ratio is 6:1.
A no-load high speed function is equipped as standard
feature, allowing its hoisting speed 1.3 times faster
during no-load operation. When the no-load condition
is detected by the inverter, this function is activated
automatically to switch to high speed operation, leading
to improving the work efficiency with ease and safety.
This function is easily activated (ON/OFF) with the push
button control.
KQ/MRR inverter unit is a well-customized for lifting/
traversing applications including exclusive software with
optimum control and is also provided with measures
against impact and heat which were verified though long
run test.

LIMITATORE DI CARICO ELETTRONICO, FRIZIONE E FINECORSA DI SALITA DISCESA - Tripla sicurezza
ELECTRONIC OVERLOAD LIMITER, FRICTION CLUTCH AND UPPER LOWER LIMIT SWITCH – Triple safety
Maintaining safety is the most important task for lifting
equipment, and is essential for stable operation. To
ensure safety, Kito utilizes a triple safety mechanism
consisting of an originally developed electronic
overload limiter, a friction clutch and upper lower limit
switch.
When the inverter detects an overload, the electronic
overload limiter turns off the power to the motor to
stop lifting the load.
The friction clutch is an emergency overload protection
device that idles the motor when subjected to an
excessive load over the rated capacity. Friction clutch
performance is not easily compromised with changes
in surrounding temperature. In the case of irregular
loading, this operated in advance to prevent the hoist
body or load chain from being damaged.
In the event that a load is lifted or lowered excessively,
the limit switch stops the motor, preventing hoist or
load chain damage. (Not regular use).
Mantenere la sicurezza è il compito più importante per gli apparecchi di
sollevamento, ed è essenziale per un funzionamento stabile. Per garantire
la sicurezza, Kito utilizza un triplo meccanismo di sicurezza costituito da un
limitatore di carico di tipo elettronico, da una frizione e da un finecorsa di
salita-discesa.
Quando l’inverter rileva un sovraccarico, il limitatore di carico elettronico
interrompe la corrente al motore impedendo il sollevamento del carico.
La frizione è un dispositivo di emergenza di protezione dai sovraccarichi

usage, a thermal protector is installed in the inverter.

The connecting shaft is mounted on the outside of the
KQ hoist. This allows the suspension eye to be attached
or removed with ease.

The hoist’s total on-time and the number of moving starts

inspection periods and replacement periods for gear oil,
brakes, and load chains can be efficiently controlled,
allowing the equipment to be used with confidence.

Il totale delle ore di funzionamento ed il numero di avviamenti della
discesa vengono visualizzati sul display dell’inverter. In questo modo
l’utente può eseguire la manutenzione sulla base della frequenza
di utilizzo. Grazie allo storico dei dati del contatore, l’utente può
controllare con efficienza gli intervalli di controllo e sostituzione dell’olio
del riduttore, dei freni e delle catene di carico, consentendo l’utilizzo

incorporated in the inverter allows you to check the number of starts of the hoist and the

"NICKEL PLATED" CHAIN
Le catene Kito sono trattate elettroliticamente al nichel e forniscono
resistenza alla corrosione e alla fatica decisamente superiori rispetto alle
catene elettro-zincate. Il disegno allegato evidenzia le caratteristiche
superiori della catena “nichel plated” rispetto ad una catena non trattata
o zincata elettroliticamente. In particolare la resistenza alla corrosione e
all’usura in assenza di lubrificazione, la resistenza a fatica e l’allungamento.
Il trattamento superficiale al nichel ha inoltre eliminato il problema
dell’infragilimento da idrogeno che può capitare durante il processo di
zincatura elettrolitica.
Le catene Kito sono di classe DAT (grado 80) in accordo alle norme EN 818-7.
Kito chain is enhanced in corrosive resistance and bending
fatigue by nickel electroless-plating on the link chain in
substitution to the former zinc electroplated chain
The chart shows Kito nckel plated chain advantages
compared to an electro plating chain and a self coloured
chain. In detail, the corrosion and wear resistance without
lubrication, the bending fatigue and the elongation.
Nickel plating process prevents the hydrogen
embrittlement risk by generating less hydrogen and
eliminating the absorbed hydrogen. Kito load chains are
quality class DAT (G80) according to EN 818-7.

High end duty rating
KRR hoist achieves M6(ISO) / 3m (FEM) class with
a duty cycle of 60%. Supporting use in the most
demanding environments and conditions, KRR hoist is a
heavy duty product also applicable to high frequency or
long lift operations.
The gear box is lubricated in an oil bath, improving
wear and tear and enhancing cooling at the same time.

e condizioni difficili, il paranco KRR

Inverter
The dual speed inverter delivers smoother movement than
the pole change motor, reducing load swing. The high to
low speed ratio can be set to a large value. This results in
smooth starts, improved low speed stops, and improved
positioning accuracy. The standard speed ratio is 6:1
adjustable up to 12:1 for lifting and 10:1 for travelling.
KRR/MRR inverter unit is a well-customized for lifting/
traversing applications including exclusive software with
optimum control and is also provided with measures against
impact and heat which were verified though long run test.

FRICTION CLUTCH AND UPPER LOWER LIMIT SWITCH - Double safety
Maintaining safety is the most important task for lifting
equipment, and is essential for stable operation. To
ensure safety, Kito utilizes a double safety mechanism,
developed friction clutch and upper lower limit switch.
The friction clutch is an emergency overload protection
device that idles the motor when subjected to an
excessive load over the rated capacity. Friction clutch
performance is not easily compromised with changes
in surrounding temperature. In the case of irregular
loading, this operated in advance to prevent the hoist
body or load chain from being damaged.
In the event that a load is lifted or lowered excessively,
the limit switch stops the motor, preventing hoist or
load chain damage (no regular use).
Mantenere la sicurezza è il compito più importante per gli apparecchi di
sollevamento, ed è essenziale per un funzionamento stabile. Per garantire la
sicurezza, Kito utilizza un doppio meccanismo di sicurezza costituito da una
frizione originale e da un finecorsa di salita-discesa.
La frizione è un dispositivo di emergenza di protezione dai sovraccarichi che
fa girare il motore al minimo quando viene sottoposto a carichi eccessivi che
superano la portata nominale. I cambiamenti nella temperatura ambiente
non influiscono facilmente sulle prestazioni della frizione.
In caso di carico irregolare, la frizione interviene preventivamente per
impedire il danneggiamento del corpo del paranco o della catena di carico.
Il finecorsa interrompe l’alimentazione al motore se il carico viene sollevato

catena di carico (da non usarsi come arresto normale).

Connected in series to a motor circuit, a current driven
electromagnetic brake does not release unless the motor
is energized. This concurrent drive increases safety of the
circuit compared to separate circuits for the motor and
the brake.

Connecting shaft and cover belt
The connecting shaft that was previously attached inside
the body is now mounted on the outside of the KRR hoist.
This allows a top hook or a suspender to be attached or
removed with ease. The electric parts and equipment are
contained inside the controller cover. Therefore, inspection
and parts replacement can be accomplished easily. The
controller cover is connected to the hoist body using a cover
belt so that maintenance can be carried out more easily.
Perno di collegamento e cinghia del coperchio
Il perno di collegamento, che prima si trovava all’interno del corpo, ora
è montato all’esterno del paranco KRR. Questo consente di collegare e
scollegare facilmente un gancio o una sospensione.

CH (Counter Hour) meter
The hoist’s total on-time and the number of lowering
starts are shown on the LCD of the CH meter.
This enables the user to carry out maintenance based
upon the frequency of use. By maintaining a history
of the CH meter data, the inspection periods and
replacement periods for gear oil, contactors, brakes,
and load chains can be efficiently controlled, allowing
the equipment to be used with confidence.

Il totale delle ore di funzionamento ed il numero di avviamenti della discesa
vengono visualizzati sul display a cristalli liquidi del contatore. In questo
modo l’utente può eseguire la manutenzione sulla base della frequenza di

Load chain: nickel plated load chain, manufactured through Kito’s own
technology to provide a higher resistance against fatigue, wear and rust.
The load chain is made from a unique alloy-steel designed of Kito’s study
and experience, which is produced under high quality control through
automated facilities from material incoming to chain completion. The load
chain is manufactured with hard surface to increase wear resistance and is
well balanced between its strength and toughness in the core section.

SPECIFICATION
Kito chain is enhanced in corrosive resistance and
bending fatigue by nickel electroless-plating on the link
chain in substitution to the former zinc electroplated
chain. The chart shows Kito nckel plated chain
advantages compared to an electro plating chain and
a self coloured chain. In detail, the corrosion and wear
resistance without lubrication, the bending fatigue and
the elongation.
Nickel plating process prevents the hydrogen
embrittlement risk by generating less hydrogen and
eliminating the absorbed hydrogen.
Kito load chains are quality class DAT (G80) according to
EN 818-7.
Le catene Kito sono trattate elettroliticamente al nichel e forniscono
resistenza alla corrosione e alla fatica decisamente superiori rispetto alle
catene elettro-zincate.
Il disegno allegato evidenzia le caratteristiche superiori della catena “nickel
plated” rispetto ad una catena non trattata o zincata elettroliticamente.
In particolare la resistenza alla corrosione e all’usura in assenza di
lubrificazione, la resistenza a fatica e l’allungamento.
Il trattamento superficiale al nichel ha inoltre eliminato il problema
dell’infragilimento da idrogeno che può capitare durante il processo di
zincatura elettrolitica.

The lifting/lowering function are activated by moving
the plastic grip along the cylinder with the thumb.
The operator’s hand is always in axys with the load
making handling easy.

STEP LESS SWITCH (only dual speed hoists)
The lifting or lowering speed can change smoothly in
proportion to depression of the push button.
There is very little shock when switching the speeds,
making this most suitable for use in work where you
wish to minimize any damage to the load.
Lifting and lowering can be accelerated or decelerated
from 16% of maximum speed to 100% of maximum
speed.
Speed range: up to a speed ratio 1:6.
Capacity range: from 125 kg to 5 t.
La velocità di sollevamento o discesa può variare in
proporzione alla pressione esercitata sul tasto della
pulsantiera. Quando viene premuto il pulsante, lo
strappo iniziale è lievemente percettibile, rendendo
il paranco particolarmente indicato in caso di
sollevamenti delicati.
Le velocità di sollevamento e discesa possono essere
accelerate o decelerate con valori compresi tra il 16%

OVERLOAD LIMITER
For additional security, the overload limiter is
recommended as an option. It activates once 115%
of the rated capacity is reached and protects the hoist
from damage which may be caused by an overload
weight (after the overload limiter is activated, the load
can still be lowered).
Standard setting: 115% of the rated capacity
Adjustable setting: from 90% to 135% of the rated
capacity.

chain hoist have been successfully operating in the
Italian market. On despite the further KRR and KQ
electric hoists have been developed, with an upgraded
design and technology, KF is still the most required and

The friction clutch is an emergency overload protection
device that idles the motor when subjected to an
excessive load over the rated capacity. Friction clutch
performance is not easily compromised with changes in
surrounding temperature. In the case of irregular loading,
this operated in advance to prevent the hoist body or load
chain from being damaged. Kito friction clutch is great
wear resistant and needs no adjustment under normal
operation.

Wear resistant friction clutch: Kito special friction clutch overtravel protection
device allows the motor to run free for the highest and lowest hook positions and
also allows the motor to run free when excessively overloaded thus preventing the
load from being lifted. Clutch is factory preset and needs no adjustment under
normal operations.

4) Catena speciale (Brevettata): catena di acciaio speciale elettrozincata o con
rivestimento di nichel, con elevata ed uniforme resistenza alla corrosione e alla
fatica, in accordo alle norme EN 818-7.
Load chain: galvanized or nickel plated alloy steel chain, highly resistant to wear
and bending fatigue, according to EN 818-7.

Grado di protezione: i paranchi della Serie KF sono realizzati, in esecuzione standard,
con grado di protezione IP54. Su richiesta, è possibile avere il grado di protezione IP55.

5) Gancio di sicurezza rotante: gancio di sicurezza forgiato in particolare
acciaio trattato, che in caso di eccessivo sovraccarico non si frattura ma si
apre lentamente. Rotazione del gancio assicurata da un opportuno cuscinetto
reggispinta. Dispositivo di sicurezza antisgancio.
Swivel bottom hook: Drop forged heat threaded hooks will not fracture but
open slowly when overloaded excessively. Built-in bearing assures easy swivelling
of bottom hook.

6) Corpo paranco in alluminio: il corpo in speciale lega di alluminio, oltre a rendere
il paranco particolarmente leggero, lo rende compatto e di facile manipolazione e
garantisce la rapida dissipazione del calore. Completamente stagno, costruzione
robusta, particolarmente adatto per ambienti umidi e polverosi.
Aluminium hoist body: aluminium die casting hoist body provides light weight,
compactness and high mobility and rapid heat dissipation. Totally enclosed
weather-resistance construction for ideal use in humid and dusty atmosphere.
7) Cambiatensione rapido: i paranchi sono normalmente previsti per tensioni
230/400 V - 50 Hz; su richiesta possono essere forniti paranchi idonei ad altri
voltaggi. Per cambiare da una tensione all’altra è sufficiente invertire i morsetti di
alimentazione.
Quick change of voltage: to change from one voltage to the other, it is only
necessary to change the position of lead wires inside the cover.

8) Sacco raccoglicatena: è costruito in speciale tessuto antiusura, di grande praticità
e durata. Per particolari impieghi e su richiesta, sono disponibili raccoglicatena in
lamiera di acciaio.

Upon demand, steel chain container can be supplied.
9) Pulsantiera di comando: di serie con arresto di emergenza.Disponibile in bassa
tensione o a comando diretto. Grado protezione IP65.

CARATTERISTICHE
SPECIFICATION
Where headroom is restricted and standard hoists can’t
meet the lifting height requirements, KFR electric chain
hoists can be the solution.
Available with WLL up to 2000Kg, with electric, plain
or geared trolley.
In spazi ristretti dove i paranchi classici non soddisfano le altezze di
sollevamento necessarie, i paranchi elettrici KFR rappresentano la soluzione
al problema.
Disponibili con portate fino a 2000 kg, nelle versioni con carrello elettrico, a
spinta o meccanico.

CARATTERISTICHE
SPECIFICATION
With the cylinder control loads can be lifted, lowered,
manually traversed and feeded with only one hand.
The lifting / lowering function are activated by moving
the plastic grip along the cylinder with the thumb.
125Kg and 200Kg WLL available, the best solution
when speed and preciseness are required.
The operator’s hand is always in axis with the load.
Con il comando a cilindro serve solo una mano
Con il comando a cilindro KITO l’operatore esegue con una sola mano,
in assoluta sicurezza, tutte le operazioni di presa, sollevamento, discesa e
posizionamento del carico.
Si può operare indifferentemente con la mano destra o la sinistra in quanto
il cursore di comando viene azionato muovendo verticalmente il pollice.
Disponibile nelle versioni con portate da 125 e 200 kg, è il paranco ideale
ovunque siano richieste rapidità e precisione.
La mano dell’operatore si trova infatti allineata con l’asse baricentrico del
carico consentendo la massima precisione e facilità di posizionamento.

For food industry or very corrosive atmospheres, KF
electric chain hoists can be supplied with stainless steel
chains and hooks. The bottom hook is complete with
stainless steel thrust bearing.
Available for electric chain hoists with ine chain fall,
with WLL up to 500 Kg.
Per applicazioni alimentari o in ambienti particolarmente
corrosivi, i paranchi KF possono essere forniti con catene e
ganci di carico completi di bozzello di acciaio inossidabile.
I ganci sono girevoli su cuscinetto reggispinta inossidabile.
Disponibili per paranchi a un tratto di catena, con portata
fino a 500 Kg.

NICKEL PLATED CHAIN AND BOTTOM HOOK (KQ-KRR-KF HOISTS)
Nickel plating protection has a lower resistance to
acids compared to stainless steel, but it is much higher
resistant to fatigue. Cheaper solution, on the contrary of
the stainless it is not required to downgrade the hoist.

La protezione al nichel ha una resistenza agli acidi inferiore
all’acciaio inossidabile, ma nettamente superiore per
quanto riguarda la resistenza alla fatica. Economicamente
vantaggiosa, a differenza dell’acciaio inossidabile non
richiede il declassamento del paranco per mantenere i
coefficienti di sicurezza richiesti dalle normative.
