Buon ascolto (link sopra). Quindi l’album è dei Frasan Galaglav prima che cambiassero nome per acquisire quello più semplice di «THE GLAGAL». Per questo motivo è stato fatto un ritocchino alla copertina che però continua ad esporre le «Dranje» (fanta banconote dell’altrettanto immaginario Principato di Brajavost). Prima che nel mondo si parlasse di vera crisi economica ed inflazione, I The Glagal hanno dato vita a questo concept album che sorvola i temi di intrighi politici, corruzione, investimenti illeciti, complicità di banche, frode, bancarotta, arricchimento e impoverimento, inflazione. Nessuno vince, tutti perdono. Ma è tutto da immaginare perché non ci sono canzoni, non ci sono testi, è tutta musica strumentale che fa da colonna sonora ai temi suddetti. La sperimentazione innanzitutto è sempre la stella guida dei The Glagal. In mezzo alla musica fatta con strumenti (reali e VST) sentirete elementi di musica concreta. Insomma c’è tanta roba da ascoltare e stupirsi (link sopra). L’emblema del Principato di Brajavost, Paese immaginario in cui i The Glagal (ex Frasan Galaglav) hanno ambientato i loro primi album. La finta moneta del Principato (Dranje) torna in gioco in questo album. The emblem of the Principality of Brajavost, an imaginary country where The Glagal (ex Frasan Galaglav) set their first albums. N. 02_2023 – PAG 2 DI 13 «Mai Stati Così Ricchi» is an album from August 2021, but just now released on Jamendo and at the same time «work in progress» in the Magix Info Community. Parrebbe di no poiché i brani dell’album ci sono tutti anche se non tutto è nella giusta sequenza (ma non essendo un concept album la sequenza non è fondamentale) e addirittura una paio di brani compaiono pubblicati due volte. Ma in questo caso meglio abbondare che avere pezzi mancanti. Problemi e test tecnici a parte, quello che c’è dentro l’album è senza dubbio in grado di allietare l’ascoltatore perché l’album è una ben riuscita miscellanea di molti generi musicali. Si va dal rock all’elettronica, dall’hip hop al pop riprendendo alcuni brani che hanno fatto parte di altri album e compare anche la collaborazione con il chitarrista Lorenzo Corti. L’album potrebbe benissimo essere la playlist di qualche trasmissione radiofonica, magari di RadioMits, che in effetti consiglia l’ascolto dell’album, magari come musica da viaggio. Technical problems and tests aside, what's inside the album is undoubtedly able to cheer the listener because the album is a successful mix of many musical genres. They range from rock to electronics, from hip hop to pop, taking up some songs that have been part of other albums and the collaboration with guitarist Lorenzo Corti also appears. N. 02_2023 – PAG 4 DI 13 Creato nel 1877, il fonografo di Thomas Alva Edison tramite un dispositivo collegato ad una membrana trasmetteva le vibrazioni raccolte ad una puntina che incideva in profondità la superficie di un cilindro di cera. Il fonografo per riprodurre utilizzava lo stesso meccanismo al contrario: le incisioni del cilindro venivano “lette” da una puntina che a sua volta sollecitava una membrana collegata all’altoparlante. Ne è passato del tempo dal 1877, ma ne è passato del tempo anche dagli ani ottanta, periodo in cui Antonio Fiorillo registrava i suoi album su 8 piste stereo con sistema analogico, perché questo album del 2023 è registrato su 96 piste stereo. Antonio è soddisfatto del risultato e del fatto che ha rinnovato tutta la sua attrezzatura per raggiungere l’obiettivo. Ascoltando l’album è innegabile la qualità tecnica. Ma ora vogliamo dare qualche flash sulla musica contenuta nell’album. Il brano di apertura è “Joy of life!” che immediatamente fa comprendere gli intenti positivi dell’album. La seconda traccia (che si intitola come l’album) emana profumo di prog (alla Genesis) ma chiaramente è “made by Fiorillo” e non tragga in inganno il titolo del terzo brano (The banquet) facendo pensare al BMS. Antonio si ispira alla musica rinascimentale, come in precedenti composizioni, nel corso della sua carriera musicale. Ammaliante è l’intreccio pianistico con l’elettronica in “Trouble!!” e nel quinto brano “Kypros” Antonio propone musica assolutamente solare. Fiorillo ci avvisa che XXL-City (brano n. 6) attinge alla cultura elettronica di Vangelis, J.M.Jarre, Tangerine Dream ecc. Di piacevole fattura rock sinfonica è il settimo brano “The magic touch” a cui segue “Ethereal”, brano minimal prog-ambient ad ampio respiro. Dopo un passaggio di ripresa orchestrale di “The magic touch”, arriva “Machinery city”. Il titolo della traccia riassume perfettamente l'ambiente musicale. Lo stile è musica elettronica, sinfo-prog, al contempo original soundtrack. “Celebration Peoples” è una danza musicale senza confini che esprime solo la gioia di vivere e la fratellanza, la pace mondiale. “The Legacy” è un mix tra musica gotica/celtica e rinascimentale. Ritmica elettronica e risonanze cristalline caratterizzano il penultimo brano “Without limits” e l’album si conclude con un "Reprise" della seconda traccia. Ora è tempo di iniziare il Vostro ascolto. N. 02_2023 – PAG 5 DI 13 The opening track is “Joy of life!” which immediately makes you understand the positive intentions of the album. The second track (which is titled like the album) exudes a prog scent (remind to Genesis) but is clearly "made by Fiorillo" and don't you it mislead by the title of the third track (The banquet) thinking of the BMS. Antonio draws inspiration from Renaissance music, as in some previous compositions, in his musical career. The piano intertwining with the electronics in “Trouble!!” is bewitching. and in the fifth song "Kypros" Antonio proposes absolutely sunny music. Fiorillo informs us that XXL-City (track n. 6) draws on the electronic culture of Vangelis, J.M.Jarre, Tangerine Dream etc. The seventh song "The magic touch" is of pleasant symphonic rock workmanship, followed by "Ethereal", a wide-ranging minimal prog-ambient song. After an orchestral reprise passage of "The magic touch", comes "Machinery city". The title of the track perfectly sums up the musical environment. The style is electronic music, sympho-prog, original soundtrack at the same time. "Celebration Peoples" is a musical dance without borders that only expresses the joy of living and brotherhood, world peace. “The Legacy” is a mix between gothic/celtic and renaissance music. Electronic rhythm and crystalline resonances characterize the penultimate track "Without limits" and the album ends with a "Reprise" of the second track. Si tratta di «Astratti astrali», quaranta scenari immaginari, ambientati in una dimensione cosmica dove forme e colori evocano ricordi emozionali. Collage digitali, clippings, fotoelaborazioni, termoimpronte su cera, deformazioni di fonti luminose, silhouette cutouts, plastificazioni sono le modalità utilizzate per la realizzazione delle opere. La telepatia è la facoltà di trasmettere o percepire immagini o messaggi senza l'uso dei sensi. E’ uno dei fenomeni studiati dalla parapsicologia. Sin da piccole, le sorelle Delia e Clelia Vallanzoni hanno scoperto che se l’una pensava qualcosa, l’altra era grossomodo in grado di percepire l’immagine pensata dalla sorella. Mamma Lisetta e papà Alberto hanno sempre tutelato le loro bambine, opponendosi alle richieste di scienziati che volevano sottoporle a particolari test. «Ma non funziona allo stesso modo per entrambe» dice Clelia «funziona solo se Delia trasmette e io ricevo». Più che esporre, le sorelle amano creare in diretta. Una sorta di performance che attrae sempre molto pubblico e anche i più scettici alla fine si convincono del prezioso dono posseduto dalle sorelle. «Comunque, non tutte le ciambelle riescono col buco. Alle volte Clelia non è in sintonia e non percepisce il mio pensiero» conclude Delia. EJ PROT.
