Jede sterile ACUVUE ADVANCE™ Marken Kontaktlinse mit

HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) und ACUVUE ADVANCE™ for
ASTIGMATISM (galyfiicon A) wird in einer Kochsalzlösung mit
bis zu 0,01 % Methylethercellulose einzeln in Blistern verpackt
geliefert.
Die Kontaktlinsen dürfen nicht verwendet werden, wenn die
sterile Blisterverpackung geöffnet oder beschädigt ist.
Verwendungszweck:
ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ Markenkontaktlinsen mit HYDRACLEAR™
®
und ACUVUE ADVANCE™ for ASTIGMATISM (galyfilon A) sind für
das Tagestragen (weniger als 24 Stunden, während der
Wachphase) für die Korrektion von refraktiven Fehlsichtigkeiten
(Myopie und Hyperopie) bei Aphaken und Nicht-Aphaken mit
gesunden Augen angezeigt.
ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ mit HYDRACLEAR™ kann für Fehlsichtige
®
bis 1,00 Dioptrien Astigmatismus und ACUVUE ADVANCE™ for
ASTIGMATISM für Fehlsichtige mit 0.50 Dioptrien bis 2.50
Dioptrien Astigmatismus verwendet werden.

Alle ACUVUE ADVANCE™ Markenkontaktlinsen mit HYDRACLEAR™(galyfilcon A) helfen, die Hornhaut und das Innere des
Auges vor schädlicher UV-Strahlung zu schützen.
Der Kontaktlinsenanpasser sollte den Trage- und
Austauschmodus, abgestimmt auf den Kontaktlinsenträger,
bestimmen.
Man geht davon aus, dass häufigerer Austausch unserer
Produkte zur optimalen Erhaltung von deren Leistungsspektrum
®
führt und der Gesundheit dient. Wir empfehlen, die ACUVUE
ADVANCE™ Markenkontaktlinse mit HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon
®
A) und ACUVUE ADVANCE™ for ASTIGMATISM (galyfilcon A)
nach 2 Wochen gegen eine neue Linse auszutauschen. Alle
ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ Markenkontaktlinsen mit HYDRACLEAR™
(galyfilcon A) müssen nach jedem Abnehmen vom Auge
gereinigt, abgespült und unter anschließender Verwendung
eines chemischen Desinfektionssystems desinfiziert werden.
Gegenanzeigen:
Passen Sie bei Vorliegen eines der folgenden Symptome am Auge keine
ACUVUE®ADVANCE™ Markenkontaktiinsen mit HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A)
®
oderACUVUE ADVANCE™ for ASTIGMATISM (galyfilcon A) an: Entzündung, Infektion,
Reizung, jegliche Augenerkrankungen, Verletzungen oder anormale Beschaffenheit
der Hornhaut, Bindehaut oder der Augenlider, massiv trockenes Auge.
Überempfindlichkeit der Hornhaut bei Nicht-Aphakie. jeglicher systematischen
Erkrankung, die das Auge beeinflusst, Allergien, die durch das Tragen der
Kontaktlinsen oder die Verwendung der Lösungen für Kontaktlinsen induziert oder
verstärkt werden und jegliche Verwendung von Medikamenten, die das Tragen von
Kontaktlinsen einschränken können, Nebenwirkungen;
Der Kontaktlinsenträger sollte darauf hingewiesen werden, dass beim Tragen von
Kontaktlinsen folgende Probleme auftreten können: das Auge kann brennen, jucken
oder stechen, verringerter Komfort nach dem ersten Aufsetzen der Kontaktlinsen.
Empfindung eines
Fremdkörpergefühls am Auge, starker Tränenfluss, ungewöhnliche Sekretbildung, Rötung der
Augen, Lichtempfindlichkeit, unscharfes Sehen, Tunnelblick, Farbsäume um Gegenstände
herum und trockene Augen. Es besteht die Gefahr einer vorübergehenden Beeinträchtigung
durch periphere Infiltrate, periphere Hornhautgeschwüre und Erosion der Hornhaut. Es können
auch weitere physiologische Veränderungen auftreten, beispielsweise lokale oder allgemeine
Ödeme, Hornhautgefäßneubildung, Stippenbildung auf der Hornhaut, Injektionen,
Lidbindehautabnormalitäten, Regenbogenhautentzündung und Bindehautentzündung, Einige
dieser Veränderungen sind bei geringer Ausprägung klinisch akzeptabel.
Warnhinweise:
TT = Tagestragen der Kontaktlinsen; vT = verlängertes Tragen der Kontaktlinsen) Probleme
beim Tragen von Kontaktlinsen oder bei der Verwendung von Mitteln zur Kontaktlinsenpflege
können zu schweren Augenverletzungen führen. Weisen Sie bitte Kontaktlinsenträger auf
Folgendes hin:
Augenprobleme, einschließlich Hornhautgeschwüren, können schnell zu einem Sehverlust
führen. Eine Studie ergab, dass die jährliche Häufigkeit ulzerativer Keratiden unter
Kontaktlinsenträgern im TT-Modus auf etwa 4,1 von 10 000 Personen und unter
Kontaktlinsenträgern im vT-Modus auf etwa 20,9 von 10.000 Personen geschätzt werden kann.
Das Risiko einer ulzerativen Keratitis ist demnach für vT-Träger 4 bis 5 Mal größer als für TTTräger. Wenn TT-Träger die Kontaktlinsen über Nacht tragen und vT-Träger, die ihre Linsen nur
am Tag tragen, vom Vergleich ausgenommen werden, ist das Risiko unter vT-Trägern 10 bis 15
Mal größer als für TT-Träger. Wenn TT-Träger die Kontaktlinsen entgegen der empfohlenen
Anwendung über Nacht auf dem Auge belassen, ist das Risiko einer ulzerativen Keratitis 9 Mal
größer als bei Kontaktlinsenträgern, die ihre Kontaktlinsen nicht über Nacht tragen. Das
allgemeine Risiko einer ulzerativen Keratitis kann verringert werden, wenn die Hinweise zur
Pflege der Kontaktlinsen, einschließlich zur Reinigung des Aufbewahrungsbehälters, befolgt
werden, Bei Rauchern ist das Risiko einer ulzerativen Keratitis höher. Es wird geschätzt, dass
das Risiko einer ulzerativen Keratitis bei Kontaktlinsenträgern, die zugleich Raucher sind. 3 bis
8 Mal größer ist als bei Nichtrauchern, Vor Verlassen der Praxis des Kontaktlinsenanpassers
sollte der Kontaktlinsenträger in der Lage sein, die Kontaktlinsen problemlos vom Auge zu
nehmen, oder es sollte jemand verfügbar sein, der ihm/ihr die Kontaktlinse vom Auge nehmen
kann. Treten Reizungen des Auges, starker Tränenfluss. Änderungen des Sehvermögens, eine
Rötung des Auges oder andere Probleme auf, sollten die Kontaktlinsen sofort vorn Auge
genommen werden, und der Kontaktlinsenträger sollte sich unverzüglich an seinen
Kontaktlinsenanpasser wenden, Kontaktlinsenträger sollten ihren Kontaktlinsenanpasser
regelmäßig entsprechend den Anweisungen konsultieren.
Fluorescein (ein gelber Farbstoff) sollte nicht verwendet werden, solange sich die Kontaktlinse
auf dem Auge befindet, da die Kontaktlinse diesen Farbstoff aufnimmt und sich verfärbt, Wenn
sich auf dem Auge Fluorescein befindet, sollte das Auge mit einer für die Verwendung am Auge
zugelassenen sterilen Kochsalzlösung gespült werden. Verhaltensweise bei Problemen;

BEI PROBLEMEN SOFORT VOM AUGE ZU NEHMEN UND SEINEN
KONTAKTLINSENANPASSER AUFZUSUCHEN.
Wichtige Informationen für Kontaktlinsenträger:
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen:
Informieren Sie ihre Kontaktlinsenträger über folgende Vorsichtsmaßnahmen: Vor dem Auf- und
Absetzen der Kontaktlinsen immer die Hände waschen. Die Kontaktlinsen nicht nach Ablauf des
Verfallsdatums verwenden . Kontaktlinsen nicht verwenden, wenn die sterile Blisterverpackung
geöffnet oder beschädigt ist; beim Tragen von Kontaktlinsen keine Aerosole versprühen, z. 8.
Haarspray; die Kontaktlinsen bei Kontakt mit giftigen oder reizenden Dämpfen vom Auge
nehmen; kosmetische Lotionen, Seifen, Cremes oder Deodorants können Reizungen
verursachen; regelmäßige Nachkontrollen durch den Kontaktlinsenartpasser sind erforderlich,
um die fortwährende Gesundheit des Auges sicherzustellen. Fragen Sie Ihren
Kontaktlinsenanpasser, ob Sie die Kontaktlinsen beim Sport tragen dürfen, insbesondere
während des Schwimmens und der Ausübung anderer Wassersportarten. Werden
Kontaktlinsen während des Schwimmens oder Badens Wasser ausgesetzt, kann das Risiko
einer Infektion durch Mikroorganismen zunehmen. Konsultieren Sie ihren
Kontaktlinsenspezialisten auch zum Tragen von Kontaktlinsen vor jeglicher Verwendung von
Medikamenten für das Auge, informieren Sie in jedem Fall Ihren Arbeitgeber, dass Sie
Kontaktlinsen tragen. Bei bestimmten Tätigkeiten muss eine Schutzbrille getragen werden bzw.
dürfen keine Kontaktlinsen getragen werden. Bestimmte Medikamente, z. B. Antihistamine,
Dekongestionsmittel, Diuretika, Muskelrelaxantien, Tranquilizer und Mittel gegen Reisekrankheit,
können eine Austrocknung der Augen, ein erhöhtes Fremdkörpergefühl oder verschwommenes
Sehen zur Folge haben, Sollten solche Erscheinungen auftreten, sind geeignete
Gegenmaßnahmen zu ergreifen. Je nach Schwere der Beschwerden können dies zur
Verwendung mit weichen Kontaktlinsen indizierte Nachbenetzungstropfen sein oder eine
vorübergehende Kontaktlinsenkarenz während der Verwendung solcher Medikamente.
Anwenderinnen oraler Kontrazeptive können während des Tragens von Kontaktlinsen
®
Veränderungen des Sehens oder der Kontaktlinsentoleranz entwickeln. Alle ACUVUE
ADVANCE™ Markenkontaktlinsen mit HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) mit UV-Schutz sind kein
Ersatz für schützende UV-absorbierende Brillen, beispielsweise Sonnenbrillen mit UV-Schutz,
da sie das Auge und seine Umgebung nicht vollständig abschirmen.
HINWEISE ZUR PFLEGE DER KONTAKTLINSEN:
Nachdem sie vom Auge genommen wurden, müssen Kontaktlinsen vor dem erneuten Tragen
®
gereinigt und desinfiziert werden. Bei der Verwendung von ACUVUE ADVANCE™
Markenkontaktlinsen mit HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) jeglicher Art, dürfen die Kontaktlinsen
nur chemisch desinfiziert werden (z.B. mit einer Mehrzweck- oder Wasserstoffperoxidlösung).
Besprechen Sie mit dem Kontaktlinsenträger die Anweisungen zur Pflege der Kontaktlinsen,
einschließlich der grundlegenden Informationen zur Pflege der Kontaktlinsen und der Reinigung
des Aufbewahrungsbehälters sowie speziellen Anweisungen zur Pflege der Kontaktlinsen für
diesen Kontaktlinsenträger. Der Anpasser sollte ein Pflegesystem empfehlen, welches für alle
ACUVUEK ADVANCE"1 Markenkontaktlinsen mit HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) geeignet ist.
VERHALTEN BEI EINER FESTSITZENDEN (UNBEWEGLICHEN) KONTAKTLINSE: Wenn die
Kontaktlinse festsitzt (sich nicht mehr bewegt), sollte der Träger einige Tropfen des
empfohlenen Machbenetzungsmittels oder der Lösung zum Benetzen direkt auf das Auge
geben und warten, bis sich die Kontaktlinse wieder frei auf dem Auge bewegt. Erst dann sollte
die Kontaktlinse vom Auge genommen werden. Bewegt sich die Kontaktlinse auch nach
mehreren Minuten noch nicht, sollte der Kontaktlinsenträger sofort den Kontaktlinsenanpasser
aufsuchen.
Umgang mit einer ausgetrockneten (dehydrierten Kontaktlinse):
Wenn eine für die regelmäßige Wiederverwendung vorgesehene Kontaktlinse vom Auge
genommen wird und 30 Minuten bis eine Stunde trocken bleibt, trocknet die Oberfläche aus
und verliert allmählich ihre Benetzbarkeit. Tritt dieser Fall ein, so entsorgen Sie die Kontaktlinse
und verwenden eine neue.
Notfälle:
Der Kontaktlinsenträger sollte informiert werden, dass er für den Fall, dass Chemikalien
jeglicher Art (Haushaltsprodukte, Lösungen für die Gartenpflege, Laborchemikalien etc.) auf
das Auge gelangen.

Each sterile ACUVUE ADVANCE Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR
(galyfilcon A) is providet immersed in saline solution with up to 0.01% methy
ether cellulose in individual packages. DO NOT use if the sterile blister is opened
or damaged.
Intendet use
Wear Schedule
ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR™ and
ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ for ASTIGMATISM (galyfilon A) are indicated for daily
wear (less than 24 hours, while awake) for the correction of refractive
ametropia (myopia and hyperopia) in aphakic or non-aptiakic persons with
non-diseased eyes. ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ with HYDRACLEAR™ for eyes
who may have 1 .OOD of astigmatism or less and ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ for
ASTIGMATISM for eyes that may have 0.500 to 2.50D of astigmatism.
All ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR™
(galyfilcon A) help protect against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the
cornea and into the eye.
The Eye Care Professional should determine the appropriate wearing and
replacement schedule hased upon the response of the patient We believe that
more frequent replacement of our products achieves optimal health and
performance. The recommended lens replacement for ACUVUE®
®
ADVANCE™ Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR™ and ACUVUE
ADVANCE™ for ASTIGMATISM Is every 2 weeks before disposal.All
®
ACUVUE ADVANCE™ Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR™
(galyfilcon A) are to be cleaned, rinsed and disinfected each time the lens is
removed using a chemical disinfection system only.
Contraindications
Do not prescribe ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ Brand Contact Lenses with
HYDRACLEAR™ ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ Brand Contact Lenses for
ASTIGMATISM (galyfilcon A) when any of the following conditions of the eye
exist, inflammation, infection, irritation, any eye disease, injury or abnormality
which affects the cornea, severe dry eyes, corneal hypoaesthesia, any
systemic disease that may affect the eye, allergy that may be induced or
exaggerated by wearing contact lenses or use of contact lens solutions, or any
use of medication that may interfere with contact lens wear.
Adverse Reactions
The patient should be informed that the following problems may occur when
wearing contact lenses: eye may burn, sting or itch; reduced comfort after
initial insertion; foreign body sensation; excessive watering of the eye; unusual
secretion; redness of the eye; sensitivity to light; poor visual acuity; blurred
vision, halos, rainbows around objects, dry eyes. There may be the potential
for some temporary impairment due to peripheral infiltrates, peripheral corneal
ulcers and corneal erosion. There may be the potential for other physiological
observations, such as local or generalized oedema, corneal
neovascularisatioh, corneal staining, injection, tarsal abnormalities, iritis and
conjunctivitis, some of which are clinically acceptable in low amounts.
Warnings
(DVV = contact lens worn on daily wear basis; EW = contact lens worn on
extended wear basis)
Proper use and care of contact lenses and lens care products, including lens
cases, are essential for safe use. Problems from wearing contact lenses or
using lens care products could result in serious injury to the eye. Please
advise patients of the following about contact lens wear:
Eye problems, including corneal ulcers, can develop rapidly resulting in vision loss. The results
of a study show the following*: annual incidence of ulcerative keratitis in DW users is estimated
to be about 4,1 per 10,000 persons and 20.9 per 10,000 persons in EW. Risk of ulcerative
keratitis is 4 to 5 times greater for EW users than DW users. When DW users wearing lenses
overnight and EW users wearing lenses on a DW basis are excluded from the comparison, the
risk among EW users is 10 to 15 times greater than DW users. When DW users wear their
lenses overnight (outside the approved indication), risk of ulcerative keratitis is 9 times greater
than among those who do not wear them overnight. The overall risk of ulcerative keratitis may
be reduced by following directions for lens care, including cleaning the lens case, Smokers
increase the risk of ulcerative keratitis. It is estimated risk that the risk of ulcerative keratitis
among lens wearers that smoke is 3 to 8 times greater than non-smokers,

Before leaving the Eye Care Professional's office, the patient should be able to promptly remove
lenses or should have someone else available who can remove the lenses for him or her, If eye
discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness of the eye or other problems are
experienced, contact lenses should be removed immediately and the wearer should promptly
contact their Eye Care Professional. Contact lens wearers should see their Eye Care
Professional routinely as directed.
Fluorescein, a yellow dye, should not be used while the lenses are (lens is) on the eye, as the
lenses (lens) absorbs this dye and becomes discolored. Whenever fluorescein is used in eyes,
the eyes should be flushed with a sterile saline solution that is recommended for in-eye use.
What to do if problems occur
PLEASE ADVISE YOUR PATIENT TO REMOVE CONTACT LENSES IMMEDIATELY AND
SEEK ADVICE FROM THEIR EYE CARE PROFESSIONAL.
Important Patient Information Precautions
Please inform your patients of the following:
Always wash your hands before insertion and removal of your contact lenses. Do not use
lenses after expiry date . Do not use lenses if the sterile blister pack is opened or damaged;
avoid spraying aerosols, e.g, hair spray, while wearing lenses; remove lenses when exposed to
noxious or irritating vapour; cosmetic lotions, soap, creams or deodorants could cause irritation;
regular follow-up visits with your Eye Care Professional are necessary to assure the continuing
health of your eyes.
Ask your Eye Care Professional about wearing contact lenses during sporting activities,
especially swimming and other water sports. Exposing contact lenses to water during swimming
or while in a hot tub may increase the risk of eye infection from microorganisms. Also ask your
Eye Care Professional about wearing contact lenses prior to using any medications in your eye.
Always inform your employer of being a contact lens wearer. Some jobs may require use of eye
protection equipment or may require that the
patient not wear contact lenses. Certain medications, such as antihistamines, decongestants,
diuretics, muscle relaxants, tranquilizers and those for motion sickness, may cause dryness of
the eye, increased lens awareness or blurred vision. Should such conditions exist, proper
remedial measures should be prescribed. Depending on the severity, this could include the use
of lubricating drops that are indicated for use with soft contact lenses or the temporary
discontinuance of contact lens wear while such medication is being used. Oral contraceptive
users could develop visual changes or changes in lens tolerance when using contact lenses,

All ACUVUE ADVANCE™ with HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) Contact Lenses with UV
Blocking are not a substitute for protective UV absorbing eyewear, such as UV absorbing
sunglasses, because they do not completely cover the eye and the surrounding area.
Lens care directions
Lenses must be cleaned, rinsed and disinfected following removal before re-use. When any
®
ACUVUE ADVANCE™ Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) are
prescribed as frequent/planned replacement, the lens may be disinfected using a chemical
disinfection system only (e.g. multi-purpose or hydrogen peroxide system). Since the lens
material contains silicons, the wettability may differ when different lens care products are used.

The Eye Care Professional should recommend a system that is appropriate for all ACUVUE
ADVANCE™ Brand Contact Lenses with HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A). Please review with
the patient lens care directions, including basic information on lens care and lens case cleaning
as well as specific instructions on the lens care regimen recommended for the patient.
Care for a sticking (non-moving) lens
If the lens sticks (stops moving), the patient should be instructed to apply a few drops of the
recommended lubricating or rewetting solution directly to the eye and wait until the lens begins
to move freely on the eye before removing it. If non-movement of the lens continues after a few
minutes, the patient should immediately consult the Eye Care Professional.
Care for a dried out (dehydrated) lens
If a frequent replacement lens is oft the eye and exposed to air from 30 minutes to 1 hour or
more, its surface will become dry and gradually become non-wetting. If this should occur,
discard the lens and use a new one.
Emergencies
The patient should be informed that if chemicals of any kind (household products, gardening
solutions, laboratory chemicals, etc.) are splashed into the eyes, the patient should:

journalier (moins de 24 heures, éveillé) pour la correction des amétropies
(myopie et hypermétropie) chez des sujets aphaques ou non, dont les yeux
®
sont exempts de pathologie. Les lentilles ACUVUE ADVANCE™ with
HYDRACLEAR™ sont destinées aux sujets présentant un astigmatisme
®
intérieur ou égal à 1,000 et ACUVUE ADVANCE™ for AST/GMATISM
aux sujets présentant un astigmatisme compris entre 0.50D et
2.50D
®
Le filtre UV de toutes les lentilles ACUVUE ADVANCE™ with
HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) protège la cornée et l'intérieur de
l'œil des radiations UV nocives.
Le praticien devra déterminer les modes de port et de
remplacement selon les réponses cliniques du patient. Plus une
lentille est remplacée fréquemment, plus ia santé oculaire est
préservée et plus grandes seront les performances des lentilles.

Lé remplacement recommandé des lentilles ACUVUE ADVANCE™
®
with HYDRACLEAR™ et ACUVUE ADVANCE™ for ASTIGMATISM
est de 2 semaines avant renouvellement. Les lentilles de ia
®
gamme ACUVUE ADVANCE™ with HYDRACLEAR™(galyfilcon A)
doivent être nettoyées, rincées et décontaminées après chaque
retrait avec un système d'entretien chimique uniquement.
Contre-indications
®
NE PAS UTILISER les lentilles de contact ACUVUE ADVANCE™ with HYDRACLEAR™ et
ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ for ASTIGMATISM (galyfilcon A) ) lorsqu'un ou plusieurs des
problèmes suivants apparaissent: Infection, inflammation ou irritation, toute maladie,
traumatisme ou anomalie affectant la cornée, insuffisance lacrymale (syndrome sec),
hypo-esthésie cornéenne et toute maladie systémique pouvant affecter l'œil, réactions
allergiques pouvant être induites ou aggravées par le port de lentilles de contact ou par
l'utilisation de solutions pour lentilles ou enfin tout traitement pouvant interférer avec le
port de lentilles de contact.
Complications
Les porteurs doivent être informés que le port de lentilles de contact peut générer les
problèmes oculaires suivants: brûlure, picotement, démangeaison; confort réduit après la
pose; sensation de corps étranger; larmoiement excessif; sécrétion inhabituelle; rougeur
de l'œil; photophobie; acuité visuelle médiocre; vision trouble; halos, échos autour des
objets; œil sec.
Elles peuvent être la cause de problèmes passagers dus à des infiltrats périphériques,
ulcère périphérique ou érosion cornéenne, Elles peuvent être également la cause d'autres
observations cliniques telles qu'œdème, néovascularisaîion, piqueté cornéen, injection,
anomalies de la conjonctive tarsienne, iriîis et conjonctivites, qui peuvent être cliniquement
acceptables selon leur degré.
Avertissement
(PJ = lentilles portées le jour; PP = lentilles portées en port prolongé (la nuit]
^.ss porteurs doivent savoir que le respect des règles d'utilisation et d'entretien des
lentilles de contact, incluant les étuis pour lentilles, au moyen des produits recommandés, est
d'une importance capitale pour une utilisation sans danger. Les problèmes associés aux
lentilles de contact ou aux produits d'entretien peuvent être à l'origine de lésions oculaires
graves. Les porteurs de lentilles de contact doivent être avertis des points suivants:
Des problèmes oculaires, incluant des ulcères cornéens, peuvent se développer rapidement et
conduire à une perte visuelle. Les résultats d'une étude* ont montré les faits suivants:
L'incidence annuelle globale de kératite ulcérative (ulcère cornéen) chez les porteurs de
lentilles de contact est de 4,1 pour 10,000 porteurs en PJ et d'environ 20,9 pour 10.000
porteurs en PP. Le risque de kératite ulcérative est 4 à 5 fois plus grand pour les porteurs en PP.
Il devient 10 à 15 fois plus important que le PJ lorsque l'on élimine de la comparaison
l'ensemble des porteurs qui transgressent les modalités de port prescrit, que ce soit les
porteurs de PJ qui portent leurs lentilles la nuit ou les porteurs de PP qui les retirent le soir. Le
risque est 9 fois plus important pour les porteurs en PJ, qui les gardent la nuit (sans avis
médical) Le risque global de kératite ulcérative peut être réduit en respectant scrupuleusement
les instructions d'entretien des lentilles et de l'étui. Le risque de kératite ulcérative est
également 3 à 8 fois plus important chez les porteurs de lentilles fumeurs que chez les nonfumeurs.

Avant de quitter le cabinet, il faut avertir les porteurs de lentilles que, s'ils sont sujets à un
inconfort, un larmoiement excessif, une vision fluctuante, un oeil rouge ou tout autre
problème oculaire, ils doivent immédiatement retirer leurs lentilles ou les faire retirer par
une tierce personne et contacter leur ophtalmologiste au plus tôt. Il est recommandé aux
porteurs de lentilles de contact de respecter la périodicité des visites de contrôle.
La fluorescéine, de couleur jaune, ne doit pas être utilisée lorsque les lentilles sont
portées, en raison de l'absorption du colorant. Si tel est le cas, les yeux doivent être
abondamment rincés avec une solution saline stérile appropriée.
Que faire en cas de problème?
VEUILLEZ AVERTIR VOTRE PATIENT DE RETIRER IMMEDIATEMENT SES LENTILLES DE
CONTACT ET DE CONSULTER SON OPHTALMOLOGISTE.
Informations Importantes destinées aux Patients
Précautions
Veuillez informer vos patients des points suivants:
Avant de manipuler les lentilles, il est impératif de se laver les mains. Ne pas utiliser les
lentilles de contact après leur date d'expiration À ou lorsque l'étui est ouvert ou
endommagé. Les produits cosmétiques, lotions, savons, crèmes, déodorants et sprays,
vapeurs nocives ou irritantes ne doivent pas entrer en contact avec les yeux ou les
lentilles. Des visites régulières de contrôle auprès d'un ophtalmologiste sont nécessaires
pour respecter la santé oculaire.
Demander à votre praticien si vous pouvez porter vos lentilles au cours d'activités
sportives, particulièrement la natation ou autres sports nautiques. Le contact de l'eau
et des lentilles au cours de la natation ou dans un sauna (hammam) peut accroître le
risque d'Infections liées aux micro-organismes. Demander également à votre praticien si
vous pouvez porter des lentilles lors de prescription de collyre ophtalmique. Informer
toujours votre employeur que vous portez des lentilles de contact. Certaines professions
exigent le port de lunettes de protection ou n'autorisent pas le port de lentilles. Certains
médicaments tels que: les antihistaminiques, les décongestionnants, les diurétiques, les
décontractants, les tranquillisants ainsi que ceux contre la nausée peuvent entraîner une
sécheresse oculaire, un inconfort du port des lentilles ou un trouble visuel. Dans ce cas,
des mesures correctrices adaptées seront prescrites. Selon l'importance du trouble, il
pourra être nécessaire d'utiliser un collyre lubrifiant compatible avec le port de lentilles
souples ou d'Interrompre le port des lentilles pendant la durée du traitement. La
contraception orale peut entraîner des changements de vision ou des changements de
tolérance des lentilles. Les patientes seront mises en garde.
®
Toutes les lentilles ACUVUE ADVANCE™ with HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) avec filtre UV
ne peuvent se substituer au port de lunettes filtrantes, telles que des lunettes de soleil,
car elles ne recouvrent pas l'ensemble des tissus oculaires et du contour de l'œil.
Entretien
Les lentilles doivent être nettoyées, rincées et décontaminées après chaque retrait et
avant toute nouvelle utilisation. Quand elles sont prescrites avec un renouvellement
®
fréquent/ planifié, toutes les lentilles ACUVUE ADVANCE™ with HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon
A| doivent être décontaminées par un système chimique uniquement (e.x. solution
multifonctions ou système à base de peroxyde d'hydrogène), Etant donné que le matériau
des lentilles contient du silicone, la mouiilabilité peut varier selon l'entretien utilisé. Le
praticien devra recommander un système d'entretien compatible avec les lentilles de la
gamme ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ with HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon Aj.Veuiliez expliquer au
porteur les consignes d'entretien de base concernant les lentilles et leur étui et les
consignes spécifiques adaptées à son cas.
Lentille adhérant à l'œil et sans mobilité
Si une lentille adhère à l'œil (cesse de se déplacer), le porteur doit appliquer directement
sur l'œil quelques gouttes du collyre lubrifiant/réhydratant recommandé et attendre que la
lentille se remette à se déplacer librement sur l'œil avant de l'enlever, Si l'adhérence de la
lentille persiste après quelques minutes, le porteur doit immédiatement consulter son
prescripteur.
Lentille déshydratée ou sèche
Si une lentille à replacement, non posée sur un œil, est laissée à l'air libre de 30 minutes
à 1 heure, voire plus , sa surface devient sèche et graduellement non mouiliable. Dans un
tel cas, jetez la lentille afin de la remplacer par une lentille neuve,
Urgences
Le patient doit être informé qu'en cas de projection de produits chimiques de tout type
dans les yeux (produits ménagers, produits destinés au jardinage, produits de laboratoire,
etc.), IL DOIT IMMÉDIATEMENT SE LAVER LES YEUX ABONDAMMENT A L'EAU
COURANTE ET CONTACTER IMMÉDIATEMENT UN OPHTALMOLOGISTE OU SE
PRÉSENTER SANS DÉLAI AUX URGENCES DE L'HÔPITAL.

Cointroindicazioni
Le lenti a contatto a marchio ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ con HYDRACLEAR™ o le lenti a
contattoCUVUE® ADVANCE™ per ASTIGMATISMO (galyfilcon A) non devono essere prescritte
in presenza di una delle condizioni oculari o palpebrali presenti. Infiammazione, infezione,
irritazione patologie oculari, lesione o anomalia a danno della cornea, congiuntiva o palpebre,
grave secchezza oculare, ipoestesia corneale se in pazienti non afachici, patologie sistemica
con ripercussione sull'occhio, allergia che possa venir indotta o aggravata dall'utilizzo delle
lenti a contatto o dall'uso di soluzioni per le lenti a contatto o impiego di tarmaci che possano
interferire con l'uso delle lenti a contatto.
Reazioni avverse
il portatore dovrà essere informato della possibile comparsa dei seguenti problemi durante
l'uso delle lenti a contatto: sensazione di bruciore, puntura o pizzicore oculare; riduzione del
comfort dopo l'inserimento iniziale; sensazione dì corpo estraneo; eccessiva lacrimazione;
secrezione insolita; arrossamento oculare; sensibilità alla luce; riduzione dell'acuità visiva;
visione offuscata, aloni, visione di aloni colorati (effetto rainbow) attorno agli oggetti, secchezza
oculare, Può esistere la possibilità di una compromissione di
natura temporanea causata da infiltrati periferici, ulcere corneali periferiche ed
erosione corneale. Può esistere il potenziale per altre osservazioni fisiologiche
come edema locale o generalizzato, neovascolarizzazione corneale, staining
corneale, iniezione, anomalie tarsali, irite e congiuntivite, alcune delle quali
clinicamente accettabili se presenti in modeste quantità.
Avvertenze
(DW = lente a contatto a uso giornaliero; EW = lente a contatto a uso
prolungato) Problemi connessi all'uso delle lenti a contatto o dei prodotti per la
loro manutenzione possono provocare gravi lesioni oculari. Per un impiego
sicuro di questi prodotti, i portatori dovranno essere informati riguardo l'uso e
la cura corretti delle lenti a contatto e dei prodotti per la loro manutenzione, e
sulle norme d'igiene per i portatori incluso. Si raccomanda di informare i
portatori sulle avvertenze attinenti all'uso delle lenti a contatto di seguito
elencate: problemi oculari, incluso ulcere corneali, possono svilupparsi
rapidamente determinando una perdita della visione. I risultati di uno studio
sull'argomento dimostrano quanto segue+: l'Incidenza annuale dì cheratite
ulcerativa nei portatori dì lenti a contatto DW è stimata dell'ordine dì 4.1 ogni
10.000 persone e nei portatori di EW di 20.9 ogni 10.000 persone. Il rischio di
cheratite ulcerativa è 4 - 5 volte superiore per gli utilizzatori dì EW rispetto agli
utilizzatori DW. Quando sono esclusi dal confronto gli utilizzatori di DW che
indossano la lente durante la notte e gli utilizzatori di EW che indossano ie
lenti su base DW. il rischio fra i portatori dì EW è da 10 a 15 volte superiore
rispetto ai pazienti DW. Quando gli utilizzatori DW portano le lenti nelle ore
notturne (al di fuori dei limite delle indicazioni approvate), il rischio di cheratite
ulcerativa è 9 volte maggiore rispetto a coloro che dì notte le tolgono, II rischio
complessivo di cheratite ulcerativa può venire ridotto con la rigida osservanza
delle seguenti indicazioni per la cura delle lenti, inclusa la pulizia del
contenitore portamenti. E' stato stimato che il rischio di cheratite ulcerativa tra i
portatori di lenti fumatori è da 3 a 8 volte maggiore rispetto ai non fumatori.
Prima dì lasciare io studio di applicazione del professionista, il portatore dovrà
essere in grado dì rimuovere velocemente le lenti dall'occhio o dovrà avere a
disposizione un'altra persona che sappia farlo in caso di mancato comfort
oculare, lacrimazione eccessiva. modificazioni deila visione, arrossamento
oculare o altri problemi, le lenti a contatto andranno rimosse immediatamente
e il portatore dovrà contattare tempestivamente il proprio specialista di fiducia.
I portatori di lenti a contatto devono sottoporsi a controlli di rutine secondo le
indicazioni ricevute.
Non si deve utilizzare fluoroscina con le lenti (la lente) inserite nell'occhio, in
quanto le lenti (la lente) assorbono tale colorante. Ogni volta che sì utilizza la
fluoroscina nell'occhio, si dovrà effettuare un lavaggio oculare con soluzione
salina sterile raccomandata per l'uso direttamente nell'occhio.
Cosa fare in caso di problemi
RACCOMANDARE AL PORTATORE DI TOGLIERE IMMEDIATAMENTE LE
LENTI A CONTATTO E DI RIVOLGERSI DALLO SPECIALISTA.
Importanti informazioni per il portatore
Precauzioni
Informare il portatore sulle seguenti precauzioni:
lavare sempre le mani prima di inserire e togliere le lenti a contatto. Non
utilizzare le lenti dopo la scadenza indicata , Non utilizzare le lenti se il
singolo blister sterile è aperto o appare danneggiato; evitare l'uso degli spray
aerosol, come ad esempio spray per capelli mentre si indossano le lenti;
togliere le lenti in caso di esposizione ai vapori nocivi o irritanti; lozioni
cosmetiche, sapone, creme o deodoranti possono provocare irritazione;
regolari visite di controllo (follow-up) sono necessarie per un regolare stato di
salute degli occhi.
Chiedere al proprio specialista informazioni in riguardo all'uso delle lenti a
contatto durante lo svolgimento di attività sportive, specialmente nuoto e sport
acquatici.
L'esposizione delle lenti a contatto all'acqua mentre si nuota o si è immersi in
un bagno caldo può aumentare il rischio di infezione oculare da contatto con
microrganismi.
Chiedere allo specialista informazioni anche riguardo all'uso delle lenti a
contatto prima dell'assunzione di (armaci oculari. Comunicare sempre al
proprio datore di lavoro che si portatori abituali di lenti a contatto. Alcune
attività possono imporre l'uso di attrezzature di protezione oculare o possono
richiedere che il portatore non indossi le lenti. Alcuni farmaci, quali
antistaminici, decongestionanti, diuretici, miorilassanti, tranquillanti, e tarmaci
specifici per malessere di movimento, possono indurre secchezza oculare,
aumentata consapevolezza rispetto alle lenti o visione stuccata.
In presenza di tati condizioni si dovranno prescrivere azioni correttive
appropriate. In rapporto alla severità del caso, tali misure possono includere
l'impegno di gocce oculari lubrificanti indicate per l'uso delle lenti durante
l'assunzione dei farmaco. Le pazienti che assumono contraccettivi orali
possono sviluppare alterazioni della visione o modificazioni per quanto
riguarda la tolleranza delle lenti durante il periodo dì porto.
Tutte non coprendo l'occhio e l'area circostante/segmento anteriore, le lenti a
contatto a marchio ACUVUE® ADVANCE™ con HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A) con
filtro UV NON sostituiscono gli strumenti di protezione dai raggi UV come gli
occhiali da sole con filtro protettivo.
indicazioni per la cura delle lenti a contatto
Le lenti devono essere pulite e disinfettate dopo la rimozione e prima

dell'utilizzo. Quando le lenti a contatto a marchio le ACUVUE ADVANCE™ con
HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfìlcon A) vengono prescritte con un programma di
sostituzione frequente, possono essere disinfettate utilizzando esclusivamente
un sistema di disinfezione chimica (es. sistema polivalente o al perossido di
idrogeno). Da quando le lenti contengono il silicone, la bagnabilità può essere
differente a seconda del prodotto dì manutenzione utilizzato. Il professionista
deve raccomandare il sistema di manutenzione più appropriato per le lenti di

marca tutte ACUVUE ADVANCE™ con HYDRACLEAR™ (galyfilcon A).
Si raccomanda di esaminare con il portatore le istruzioni per la manutenzione
delle lenti, incluso le informazioni di base sulla cura e la pulizia nonché le
istruzioni specifiche sul regime di manutenzione.
Manutenzione delle lenti che manifestano uno scarso/mancato movimento
Se la lente aderisce (smette di muoversi), andrà raccomandato di applicare alcune gocce
di soluzione salina, o direttamente nell'occhio o attendere che la lente inizi a muoversi
liberamente. Se il mancato movimento della lente continua per alcuni minuti, il paziente
dovrà consultare immediatamente lo specialista.
Manutenzione belle lenti disidratate
Se una lente a sostituzione frequente è stata rimossa dall'occhio ed esposta all'aria per un
periodo variabile tra 30 minuti e 1 ora o per un periodo superiore, la superficie diventa
secca e gradualmente non bagnabile, In tale circostanza, gettare la lente ed utilizzarne
una nuova.
Situazioni di emergenza
II portatore deve essere informato che nel caso in cui penetrino nell'occhio schizzi di
prodotti chimici di qualsiasi tipo 8prodotti per la casa, soluzioni per il giardinaggio, prodotti
Chimici di laboratorio ecc.) dovrà: LAVARE IMMEDIATAMENTE CON CURA L'OCCHIO CON
ACQUA CORRENTE E RIVOLGERSI TEMPESTIVAMENTE AL PRONTO SOCCORSO.
