Title Algebra lineare Linear Algebra Degree Corso di Laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica (DM 270/04) Teacher: Domenico Freni Year 1 Teaching Period 1 Credits 6 Academic year: 2014/2015 Objectives: This course is aimed at providing an introduction to Linear Algebra; in particular, it consists in an elementary treatise about vector spaces, linear maps, matrices, determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalizability, symmetric and Hermitian matrices, orthogonality, quadratic forms, conics. Acquired skills: - Synthesis, analysis and representation of linear maps - Knowledge of fundamental algorithms in matrix theory - Solution of linear systems - Eigenvalue and eigenspaces computations - Solution of problems with conics and quadrics.
