Edoardo e Viola Giangrasso

Giuseppe Giangrasso was born on 1967 in Palermo, were it was five when it starts painting. It
"Emigrates" to the north of Italy, were it works (as an engineer) from 2000 to 2003, then in Rome
from 2004 to 2007 were it starts deepening is artistic knowledge with Prof. Tullio de Franco at
Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA).
It starts observing the imbalance conditions in human life, then goes into a figurative representation
research path, about the human discomfort. To give an effort to the ready made works, it’s
developing the “cite” concept that (as the Mr Smith’s virus in “Matrix”) …

Per dare continuità al lavoro svolto, sta sviluppando il concetto di “citazione” che (come il virus di
Mr Smith in “Matrix”) “sradica e riposiziona, per una forma di umanità”. Ha partecipato a varie
collettive in spazi pubblici e privati tra cui "Cento opere per il diritto all’alimentazione", FAO di
Roma, World Food Day 2007 e 2008. Nel 2008 partecipa ad un’esposizione sul tema ambientale dal
titolo “Catarsi”, tenutasi a Palazzo Chigi di Formello (Roma), al Museo di Chimica Università
“Sapienza” di Roma e al Velux Atika dell’ “Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma”. Vive e
lavora fra Palermo e Roma
