Research Interests
Astrophysical interest is in stellar atmospheres; with particular reference to magnetic fields. The argument is analysed
from the observational point of view with the design and realisation of polarimetric units, as the one in use with the high
resolution spectrograph of the "Telescopio Nazionale Galileo". From the theoretical point of view, the effect of a
magnetic field on spectral line profiles is included in solving the transfer equation of stellar atmospheres.
