il nuovo Sistema di Valutazione è stato presentato::
Evaluation System:
un sistema perfezionato e ancora più giusto
nel modo di valutare le prestazioni e
di servire l’evoluzione del coro.
Finora si contano più di 134 eventi,
oltre 6.193 cori provenienti da 90 paesi di tutti i continenti.
La nostra visione e l’obiettivo
hanno sempre e sarà sempre uno solo:
diffondere la gioia di cantare,
per incoraggiare sempre più persone
a cantare in un coro,
e riunire i cori in un incontro di festa e musica!
Nella nostra visione,
il mondo intero è un gran coro!

and to serve the choir’s evolution.
So far we count more than 134 events,

Diplomato presso l’Accademia di Musica Liszt di Budapest, ha frequentato corsi di perfezionamento con
Eric Ericson, Kurt Masur e László Somogyi. È direttore
principale dell’Orchestra Dohnányi Budafok, una delle principali orchestre sinfoniche dell’Ungheria. Con
il suo coro, il Budapest Academic Choral Society, ha
vinto primi premi in tutte le competizioni corali europee
riconosciute. Tra il 2001 e il 2006 ha diretto l’unico
coro maschile professionale dell’Ungheria: Honvéd
Male Choir. Nel 2002 diventa Direttore Ospite della
Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra e Consulente Musicale
dei Philharmonia Singers Tel Aviv. Viene regolarmente
invitato in Israele, Taiwan, Brasile e Stati Uniti, per lavorare con orchestre quali la Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, la Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, la Shanghai
Symphony Orchestra, la Taipei Symphony Orchestra
e Cincinnati Pops. Forma giovani direttori d’orchestra
e tiene regolarmente corsi di perfezionamento in direzione sia in Ungheria che all’estero. Il suo laboratorio
di direzione è diventato il momento clou dell’annuale
Festival corale di Taipei. Il suo progetto Sing&Joy, che
riunisce cori provenienti da tutto il mondo per cantare insieme in concerto, è diventato molto popolare in
tutto il mondo, con concerti di enorme successo e una
rappresentanza internazionale massiccia a Cincinnati, Guangzhou, Malta, Taipei, Graz, Vienna, ecc. Ha
avviato un concetto artistico rivoluzionario di concorsi
corali; la serie basata su di esso divenne famosa con il
nome di “Musica Mundi”. È stato cofondatore e direttore artistico di Interkultur e dei World Choir Games fino
al 2013. È fondatore e direttore artistico di Inchoral,
una nuova organizzazione corale senza scopo di lucro
che organizza, in collaborazione con meeting music, festival corali e concorsi internazionali basati sul
suo noto concetto, con grande enfasi nel dare aiuto e
incoraggiamento ai cori per il loro miglioramento e sviluppo. Dal 2004 è direttore artistico del Festival Zemplén, uno dei più prestigiosi festival artistici dell’Ungheria. Nel 2015 gli è stato conferito il titolo di «A Merit
Artist» nel suo Paese natale, l'Ungheria.

Graduated at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, attended master classes with Eric Ericson, Kurt
Masur and László Somogyi. Principal conductor of
the Dohnányi Orchestra Budafok, one of Hungary’s
top symphony orchestras. With his choir, the Budapest
Academic Choral Society, he won first prizes at all recognized European choir competitions. Between 20012006 he led Hungary’s worldwide unique professional
male choir, the Honvéd Male Choir. In 2002 he became
Chief Guest Conductor of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and Musical Advisor of the Philharmonia Singers Tel Aviv. He is regularly invited to Israel, Taiwan,
Brazil and the United States, working with orchestras
like the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Guangzhou
Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, the Taipei Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati
Pops. He is engaged in training young conductors and
he has regularly given master classes on conducting
both in Hungary and abroad. His conducting workshop
became the highlight of the annual Taipei Choral Festival. His Sing&Joy project, that unites choirs from all
over the world to sing together in concert, has become
highly popular all around the world, with enormously
successful concerts and a massive international representation in Cincinnati, Guangzhou, Malta, Taipei,
Graz, Vienna, etc. He initiated a revolutionary new
artistic concept of choir competitions; the series based
on it became renowned under the name of “MUSICA
MUNDI”. He was co-founder and artistic director of
Interkultur and of the World Choir Games until 2013.
He is founder and artistic director of InChoral, a new
non-profit choral organization, that organises – in cooperation with meeting music – choir festivals and
competitions based on his well-known concept, with
great emphasis on giving help and encouragement to
choirs for their improvement and development. Since
2004 he is the artistic director of the Zemplén Festival,
one of the most prestigious art festivals in Hungary.
In 2015 he was awarded the title of A Merit Artist by
his home Country Hungary.

voi che partecipate a Roma per la prima volta:
lasciatevi ispirare! Voi che state tornando: è bello
rivedervi! Roma vi accoglierà con la sua tipica ospitalità e una grande passione per la musica corale.
Tante cose sono cambiate nel corso degli anni ma
per fortuna alcune sono rimaste uguali: la cordialità
e la gentilezza dei nostri partner, la cura nell’organizzazione, l’entusiasmo esplosivo e contagioso delle Cerimonie di Premiazione, la risposta gioiosa dei
cori, quel senso di unità e di amicizia che nasce e si
sviluppa quando le persone s’incontrano nella musica
e nel canto. Una volta che si fa esperienza di tali
impressioni, non è possibile dimenticarle. Quando
tutto questo avviene ripetutamente, di volta in volta
si rimane con un amore incrollabile e una forte motivazione. Questo è quello che è successo a me, ed è
quello che continua a succedere durante tutta la mia
carriera. Molti anni di Concorsi Corali Internazionali
hanno portato alla realizzazione che il nome in sé
non esprima appieno ciò che questi eventi in realtà
sono. L’immagine abituale di “competere l’uno con
l’altro” non è in grado di descrivere ciò che accade
realmente: molto più di una competizione. Le persone
“s’incontrano” letteralmente, per condividere la loro
musica, le loro canzoni, le loro tradizioni, i loro traguardi, il loro duro lavoro. Quando abbiamo fondato
la nuova società meeting music (traduzione letteraria “musica incontro”) abbiamo voluto esprimere
tutto questo e riconfermare la nostra missione: offrire
al mondo corale tante belle occasioni d’incontro. Lasciatemi condire queste parole con una dose enorme

Dear All of You,
Those of you coming to sing at Rome for the first
time: let yourself be inspired! Those of you returning:
it is nice to see you again! The City of Rome will
welcome all of us with typical Italian hospitality and
a great passion for choral music. Many things have
changed throughout the years, but fortunately, some
didn’t: the friendliness and kindness of our partners,
the care in the organization, the explosive and contagious enthusiasm of the Prize Giving Ceremonies,
the joyful response of the choirs, that sense of unity
and friendship that arises and spreads when people
meet in music and songs. Once you experience such
impressions, it is impossible to forget them. When
this happens repeatedly, time after time… you are
left with an unshakable love and strong motivation.
This is what happened to me, and what keeps happening throughout my whole career. Many years of
International Choir Competitions brought us to the realization that the name itself does not express properly what these events really are. The usual image
of “people competing” is not describing what really
happens there: much more than a competition. People “come together”, they literally meet one another
to share their music, their songs, their traditions, their
accomplishments, their hard work. When we founded the new company meeting music we wanted
to express that, and reconfirm our mission: to offer
the choral world many beautiful music meetings. Let
me top up these words with an enormous dose of
gratefulness! Thanks to Regione Lazio, to Dr. Gianni
De Gennaro (President Centro Studi Americani), Dr.
Paolo Messa (Director of the Centro Studi Americani)
and Mrs. Giusy De Sio (Centro Studi Americani) and
thanks to our partners Maestro Michele Josia and

Cari amici, colleghi e amanti della musica corale,
benvenuti a Roma, la Città Eterna, cuore pulsante del canto corale! Sono molto felice di darvi il
benvenuto alla VII edizione del concorso corale
internazionale "Musica Eterna Roma 2016", che
questo anno ospiterà 15 cori da 10 paesi differenti, con un totale di più di 600 cantori provenienti
da tutto il mondo. Questo concorso e festival corale è uno dei più grandi nel suo genere a Roma,
motivo per cui rappresenta un momento unico per
gli estimatori e per la realtà corale sia regionale
che nazionale nella sua accezione più ampia.
Sono fermamente convinto che questa edizione 2016 confermerà e svilupperà ancora di più
quella che è l’idea principale del festival, e cioè
prevalentemente quella di unire, attraverso l’arte e
la musica, i popoli, le loro culture, i loro costumi
e i loro credo religiosi. In un momento storico così
delicato come quello attuale, un linguaggio universale come la musica, espressa attraverso uno strumento a noi comune che ci unisce fin dagli albori
della civiltà, e cioè la nostra voce, rappresenta un
sicuro veicolo di speranza, unione e gioia. Sono
sicuro che lascerete Roma con dei bei ricordi, impressioni positive, con nuovi legami di amicizia
fra cori e nazioni, e che tornerete un giorno nel
prossimo futuro. Vi auguro tutto questo di cuore.

Dear friends, colleagues and choral music lovers,
welcome to Rome, the Eternal City and heart of
choral singing!
I am very happy to welcome you to the seventh
edition of the International Choir Competition
"Musica Eterna Roma 2016", which this year
hosts 15 choirs from 10 different countries, which
is more than 600 singers from all over the world.
This competition and choral festival is one of the
largest of its kind in Rome, which is why it represents a unique happening for choral lovers and for
the choral reality both regional and national in its
broadest sense.
I firmly believe that this 2016 edition will go on developing the festival’s main idea which is primarily
to unite, through art and music, the people, their
cultures, their customs and their religious beliefs.
At a time as delicate as the present one a universal language like music, expressed through a common tool: our voice, that unites us since the dawn
of civilization, it represent a sure vehicle of hope,
unity and joy. I'm sure you will leave Rome with
good memories, positive impressions, starting new
friendships between choirs and countries, and that
you will return one day in the near future. I wish

Eva Floyd

Eva Floyd è un professore assistente di educazione musicale corale all'Università di
Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) dove insegna Metodi Corale, Letteratura per il coro scolastico, classe vocali per gli studenti di educazione musicale, storia
e filosofia di educazione musicale, e classi di Kodály Musicianship per gli studenti
universitari di educazione musicale. Dr. Floyd supervisiona i futuri insegnanti, stage corali, consiglia la ricerca di laurea, ed è una consulente accademica per corsi di laurea
di vocal / pianoforte di educazione musicale. Floyd ha creato un nuovo programma
di studio all'estero per gli studenti di educazione CCM musica, viaggiando in Europa
per studiare ed eseguire musica corale a Budapest, Vienna, Salisburgo e Parigi. Dr.
Floyd è una specialista nel metodo Kodály di istruzione musica corale, che si basa sul
sistema ungherese di fame internazionale dell'alfabetizzazione didattica musicale ed
ear-training. Dr. Floyd ha studiato a Kodály Istituto Pedagogico di Liszt Academy of
Music di Kecskemét, Ungheria per due anni, in guadagnando un diploma avanzato in
direzione di coro e studiando con Peter Erdei. Floyd ha anche lavorato come assistente
laureata all'Istituto di Kodály, tutoraggiando degli studenti internazionali in solfeggio
ed assistendo gli studenti universitari con progetti di tesi. Floyd ha ricevuto un dottorato
di ricerca in Educazione Musicale e Master of Music di educazione musicale con
direzione corale enfasi all'Università di Kentucky e un Bachelor of Music di laurea
educazione musicale da Campbellsville University. Floyd ha completato la certificazione Orff-Schulwerk all'Università di Kentucky e della formazione Kodály da Capital
University, dove ha anche completato il programma di educazione degli insegnanti

Eva Floyd is an assistant professor of choral music education at University of
Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) where she teaches Choral
Methods, Literature for School Choir, Voice Class for music education students,
History and Philosophy of Music Education, and Kodály Musicianship classes
for music education graduate students. Dr. Floyd supervises student teachers,
choral internships, advises graduate research, and is an academic advisor for
undergraduate vocal/piano music education majors. Floyd created a new study
abroad program for CCM music education students, traveling to Europe to study
and perform choral music in Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg and Paris. Dr. Floyd is
a specialist in the Kodály approach of choral music education, which is based
on the internationally acclaimed Hungarian system of teaching music literacy
and ear-training. Dr. Floyd studied two years at the Liszt Academy’s Kodály
Pedagogical Institute of Music in Kecskemét, Hungary earning an advanced diploma in Choral Conducting, studying with Peter Erdei. Floyd also worked as a
graduate teaching assistant at the Kodaly Institute, tutoring international students
in solfege and assisting graduate students with thesis projects. Floyd received a
Ph.D. in Music Education and Master of Music in Music Education with choral
conducting emphasis from University from Kentucky and a Bachelor of Music in
Music Education degree from Campbellsville University. Floyd completed OrffSchulwerk certification at the University of Kentucky and Kodály training from
Capital University, where she also completed the Kodály apprentice teachertraining program. Before moving to Cincinnati, Floyd was the choral director at
Bullitt Central High School, where her choirs won numerous awards and traveled
to various destinations including a performance at the National Cathedral in
Washington, DC. Dr. Floyd joined the faculty at Western Kentucky University
where she co-founded the Western-Bowling Green Children’s Choir, taught music
theory, music education, and conducted the WKU Women’s Choir. Dr. Floyd
is active as a choral adjudicator, guest conductor, and clinician, as she frequently guest-conducts elementary, middle, and high school honor choirs. Floyd
served as a conducting coach for the Chorus America National Master Class for
Conductors of Children and Youth Choruses. She served on the Music Advisory
Committee for the Cincinnati World Choir Games, and she is the Midwestern
Regional Representative to the Organization of American Kodály Educators National Board. Dr. Floyd’s research has been published in NAfME’s (National
Association for Music Education) publications such as Update: Applications of
Research in Music Education and The Journal of Music Teacher Education. She
has articles in The Choral Journal, Kodály Envoy, and the Bulletin of the Internal
Kodaly Society. She has presented her research at Kentucky and Ohio Music
Educators Association conferences, American Choral Directors regional conference, Society for Music Teacher Education national conferences, and International Symposia in Scotland, Hungary, Poland, Australia, and Greece. 7

Nato a Trento, si è diplomato in pianoforte, Musica Corale e Direzione di Coro, Didattica della
Musica e in Composizione. Ha inoltre studiato con
Franco Donatoni, Salvatore Sciarrino ed Ennio
Morricone presso l’Accademia Chigiana di Siena,
la Fondazione Romanini di Brescia ed il Festival
delle Nazioni di Città di Castello, ottenendo borse
di studio come miglior allievo italiano. Attivo come
pianista e come direttore di coro ha tenuto più di
800 concerti in tutta Europa, in Ukraina e nella
Repubblica Cinese di Taiwan. Numerose sue composizioni corali sono state pubblicate da Edizioni
Sulasol (Helsinki), Edizioni Carrara (Bergamo), A
Coeur Joie (Lyon), Pro Musica Studium (Roma),
Edizioni Musicali Europee (Milano), Edizioni Federazione Cori del Trentino (Trento), Choraliter
(Feniarco), Tourdion (Associazione Regionale Cori
Valle d’Aosta), Ut Orpheus (Bologna), e Bo Ejeby
Forlag (Goteborg), ed eseguite da alcuni tra i più
importanti cori al mondo.
Tra le numerose vittorie come direttore di coro ai
concorsi corali di Arezzo, Quartiano, Trento, Vittorio Veneto, con i cori Voci Roveretane e Coro
Voci Bianche Garda Trentino, ci sono nel 2012 i
primi premi ai concorsi internazionali di Riva del
Garda e Verona e al Nazionale di Biella con il
coro Città di Ala.
E’ Direttore Artistico del Concorso Nazionale ed
Internazionale Corale di Voci Bianche “Il Garda
in Coro” di Malcesine (Verona), del Concorso Nazionale per Cori Maschili “Luigi Pigarelli”. Board
Advisor di IFCM-International Federation for Choral Music per il biennio 2009-2011, dell’Associazione Culturale EdizioniCorali.it, del Concorso
Nazionale “Luigi Pigarelli” per Cori Maschili di
Arco (Trento) e componente del Comitato tecnico
Artistico della Federazione Cori del Trentino. Già
docente presso i Conservatori di Pescara ed Adria,
ora insegna presso il Conservatorio di Trento.

Born in Trento (1962), he graduated in Piano cum
laude, Choral music & choir conduction, Music
didactics with the highest score and in Composition. He studied with Franco Donatoni, Salvatore
Sciarrino and Ennio Morricone and attended the
“Accademia Chigiana” in Siena, “Fondazione
Romanini” in Brescia and “Festival delle Nazioni”
in Città di Castello, during which he won a scholarship as the best Italian student. As pianist and
choir conductor as held more than 800 concerts
in Europe, Ukraine, Republic of China (Taiwan).

of the leading choirs in the world. Among the many
victories as choir director at choral competitions in
Arezzo, Quartiano, Trento, Vit-thorium Veneto with
the mixed choir “Voci Roveretane” and the children’s choir “Coro Voci Bianche Garda Trentino”,
in 2012 he won the first prizes at the International
Choral Competitions in Riva del Garda and in
Verona and at the National Choral Competition
in Biella with the male choir “Coro Città di Ala”.
He is the artistic director of the National and International Choral Competition for Children
Choirs “Il Garda in Coro” in Malcesine (Verona),
of the National Male Choral Competition “Luigi Pigarelli” in Arco (Trento), Member of the
Technical-Artistic committee of the “Federazione
Cori del Trentino” and artistic director of the cultural association EdizioniCorali.it. He has been
Board Advisor of IFCM-International Federation for Choral Music for the years 2009-2011.
Formerly teacher at the Conservatories in Pescara
and Adria, he is now teaching at the Conservatory
in Trento.
Wolfgang Ziegler

Nato il 13 Febbraio 1949 nel noto villaggio vinicolo di Gumpoldskirchen ( 25 km a sud di Vienna)
si è occupato di musica dalla sua prima infanzia.
Suo padre, Josef Wolfgang Ziegler, un noto compositore austriaco e direttore di coro gli ha insegnato i primi passi musicali. Cantare e suonare il
violino divennero le sue passioni.
Wolfgang diventa Direttore corale del VOX HUMANA Chamber Choir, Austria lo è tutta oggi.
Seguono numerosi studi con Erwin Otner, Herwig
Reiter presso l´Università della Musica di Vienna,
e con Eric Ericsson
E’ stato onorato da un buon numero di premi nazionali e internazionali. Il Festival musicale europeo per la Gioventù in Belgio l’ha nominato "Ambasciatore del Festival".
Nel 2008 ha fondato CONCENTUS NOVUS, un
grande coro da concerto, non professionista, che
ha avuto la sua prima apparizione di successo
con Brahms, Requiem tedesco, a Vienna nel 2008
e il coro professionale VIENNA SYMPHONIC
CONCERT CHOIR.
Nel 2012 ha fondato l'eccezionale Concorso Corale Internazionale Ave Verum a Baden/Austria.
Dal 2012 Ziegler è presidente dell’Associazione
Corale austriaca.
Vari pezzi di composizioni di Ziegler sono stati
commissionati da cori e festival internazionali.
Born on February 13th, 1949 in the well-known
wine village of Gumpoldskirchen (25km south of
Vienna) he was involved in music from his early
childhood on. His father, Josef Wolfgang Ziegler,
a well-known Austrian composer and choral director taught the first musical steps to him. Singing
and playing the violin became his passions.

Honoured by quite a number of national and international awards. The European Music Festival for
the Youth in Belgium appointed him "Ambassador
of the Festival".
In 2008 he founded CONCENTUS NOVUS, a
large non-professional concert choir who had its

Mauro Marchetti è nato a Roma. Ha fatto parte del
Coro di voci bianche dell’ARCUM, partecipando
in qualità di solista ad opere liriche presso la Piccola Scala di Milano, il Teatro Comunale di Treviso, l'Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia, il Teatro
dell'Opera di Roma, sotto la direzione di Bernstein,
Sawallisch, Sinopoli, Pretre.
Diplomato in arpa, ha tenuto concerti come solista e
in formazioni cameristiche, collaborando, tra l'altro,
con l'Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia, il Teatro
dell'Opera di Roma, l'Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese.
Come direttore di coro si è formato sotto la guida
dei maestri Paolo Lucci, Gerhard Schmidt-Gaden,
Peter Neumann, Gary Graden, Stojan Kuret. Ha
fondato e diretto vari cori tra i quali: dal 1983 al
1987, il Coro XXIV Liceo Sperimentale (primo coro
di Liceo in Italia) dal 2000 al 2002, è stato maestro del Coro di Voci Bianche Musica per Roma dal 2003 al 2005 è stato maestro del Laboratorio
Voci Bianche dell’Accademia Nazionale di S.Cecilia
(primo direttore dalla fondazione del coro).
Dal 1992 è direttore del Coro Città di Roma, con il
quale ha partecipato a numerosi festival e concorsi
in Italia e in Europa.
E’ membro della commissione artistica della Feniarco. E’ stato più volte membro di giurie di concorsi
corali e di concorsi di composizione corale. Viene
spesso invitato a far parte di giurie di concorsi nazionali e internazionali di canto corale e tiene regolarmente masterclass sulla direzione di coro. Ha
ottenuto riconoscimenti in concorsi corali regionali,
nazionali e internazionali (Varna, Gorizia, Arezzo,
Maribor, Roma, Vallecorsa, Rieti). Attualmente è docente di Direzione di Coro a Messina. Ha vinto il
premio “Mariele Ventre” come miglior direttore al
57° Concorso Internazionale Guido d’Arezzo 2009
e il Premio come Miglior Direttore al 32° Concorso
Internazionale di Varna (Bulgaria) nel 2010.

Mauro Marchetti was born in Rome. He was part
of the Children’s Chorus of ARCUM, Singing as
solist at the Piccola Scala in Milan, the Theatre
of Treviso, the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, the Opera House in Rome, under the direction of Bernstein, Sawallisch, Sinopoli and Pretre.
Diploma in harp, he has performed as solist and

Since 1992 he is director of the Coro Città di
Roma, with whom he participated in many festivals and competitions in Italy and in Europe. Member of in the artistic committee of Feniarco. He has
been repeatedly jury member of choral competitions and choral composition competitions. He is
often invited to be part of juries of national and
international competitions of choral singing and
regularly holds master classes on choral conducting. He has won choral competitions in regional,
national and International (Varna, Gorizia, Arezzo, Maribor, Rome, Vallecorsa, Rieti). He is currently Professor of Choral Conducting in Messina.
He won the “Mariele Ventre” Best Director at the
57th International Competition Guido Arezzo in
2009 and the Award for Best Director at the 32th
International Varna (Bulgaria) in 2010.

L’Associazione Musicale Coro
Città di Roma è un’associazione senza fini di lucro, fondata
a Roma nel 1979 con l’obiettivo di promuovere e diffondere
la musica polifonica. Il Coro,
diretto dal Maestro Mauro
Marchetti, è particolarmente
attivo come organizzatore
ed interprete di innumerevoli
eventi e manifestazioni musicali. Tra questi: il concerto di
apertura del Giubileo 2000; le numerose collaborazioni con il Maestro e Premio Oscar Ennio Morricone per concerti, tournée ed incisioni di colonne sonore; il “Concerto di Natale del Comune di Roma” nel
2008, con il celeberrimo soprano Monserrat Caballé, trasmesso in
mondovisione. Si è esibito in molti concorsi nazionali e internazionali,
ottenendo risultati prestigiosi. Tra questi: Concorso Nazionale Guido
d’Arezzo (primo premio sez Musica Rinascimentale nel 2004, secondo premio sez. Cori e Gruppi Vocali e premio Miglior Direttore nel
2009); Concorso Internazionale Guido d’Arezzo (primo premio sez.
Musica Rinascimentale nel 2004, secondo premio sez. Cori e Gruppi
Vocali e premio Miglior Direttore nel 2009); Concorso Internazionale
di Varna, Bulgaria (primo premio in cinque categorie nel 2010: sez.
Cori Misti, sez. Gruppi Vocali, Brano d’obbligo, Miglior Direttore e
Gran Premio Città di Varna); la vittoria del Gran Premio Città di Varna
del 2010 dava al Coro l’accesso al prestigiosissimo Gran Premio
Europeo di Canto Corale di Tolosa, Spagna, dove il Coro si qualificava secondo ex-aequo nel 2011. Il Coro è risultato vincitore del bando per la “Notte dei musei” nel 2014, esibendosi nella prestigiosa
cornice della Casa dell’Architettura. Il Coro ha istituito il laboratorio
ROMAinCORO, dalla cadenza annuale, a cui hanno partecipato
docenti di fama internazionale come Paul Crabb e Javier Busto. Nel
2011 ha organizzato una masterclass con il compositore statunitense
Eric Whitacre, culminata con due concerti dall’enorme successo di
pubblico; allo stesso compositore il Coro ha commissionato il brano
“Nox Aurumque” di cui ha eseguito la prima europea. Nel 2013 ha
intrapreso un percorso di approfondimento della musica polifonica
inglese, organizzando: il festival “Voices for Today”, in occasione del
centenario della nascita di Benjamin Britten, in collaborazione con
il compositore, direttore e cantante inglese Bob Chilcott (ex tenore
dell’ensemble vocale “King’s Singers”) di cui ha eseguito la prima
italiana del suo brano “Marriage to My Lady Poverty”; la masterclass
“Voices for Renaissance” sotto la guida del Maestro David Skinner.

association, founded in Roma
in 1979 to support and spread
polyphonic music. The Choir,
direct by Maestro Mauro Marchetti, is particularly involved
as promoter and performer
of countless musical events
and shows. Among them: The
opening concert of the Jubilee
in 2000; various collaborations with Maestro and Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone for
concerts, tournée and soundtrack recordings; the Christmas concert
“Concerto di Natale del Comune di Roma” in 2008, with the famous
soprano Monserrat Caballé, worldwide broadcasted.
The Choir performed in many national and international competitions,
with prestigious results. Among them: National Polyphonic Competition
“Guido d’Arezzo” (first price Renaissance Music section in 2004, second price Choirs and Ensembles section and Best Conductor price in
2009); Internazional Polyphonic Competition “Guido d’Arezzo” (first
price Renaissance Music section in 2004, second price Choirs and Ensembles section and Best Conductor price in 2009); International May
Choir Competition “Prof. G. Dimitrov”, Bulgary (first price in five cathegories in 2010: Mixed Choirs, Chamber Choirs, Obligatory Piece,
Best Conductor and Varna Grand-Prix); having won Varna Grand-Prix,
the Choir gained the access to the prestigious European Grand Prix for
Choral Singing in Tolosa, Spain, where it placed second ex-aequo. In
2014, the Choir was one of the winners of the Comune di Roma competition for the “Night of the Museums”, performing in the prestigious
location of the Casa dell’Architettura. The Choir has founded the annual workshop ROMAinCORO, with the participation of internationally
renowned conductors such as Paul Crabb and Javier Busto. In 2011,
it organized a masterclass with the American composer Eric Whitacre,
ended with two concerts of great audience success; the Choir has also
commissioned to the same composer the piece Nox Aurumque¸ giving
its European premier performance. In 2013, it has started a project of
in-depth study of the British poliphony, organizing: the festival “Voices
for Today”, for the centenary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, in collaboration with the British composer, conductor and singer Bob Chilcott
(former tenor of the renowned vocal ensemble The King›s Singer”),
giving the European premier performance of his piece Marriage to

La PF Association ha come scopo l’organizzazione di Festival Musicali,l’intrattenimento musicale
sotto forma di concerto. Organizza eventi dedicati al grande pubblico abbracciando generi musicali di diverse tradizioni ma di grande fascino come opera, operetta, musica da camera, lirica,
jazz, blues, tango, flamenco.
Distinguendosi per una produzione artistica originale, per le prestigiose location scelte per i propri
eventi e per il buongusto dei progetti realizzati, coinvolge artisti di fama internazionale, sia italiani
che stranieri.
Gli eventi organizzati dalla PF Association sono sempre caratterizzati da un’altissima qualità dello
spettacolo e da un grande impatto sul pubblico che numeroso interviene ad ogni appuntamento.
Nell’ambito della Musica Classica propone combinazioni concertate con personale lirico e al piano.
È particolarmente specializzata nella produzione di spettacoli di Tango realizzati con la collaborazione di artisti e ballerini di fama internazionale.
Durante il periodo Natalizio organizza “I suoni dell’Avvento” manifestazione di musica sacra che si
svolge nelle principali chiese in Vaticano (chiesa di Sant’Anna) e della Diocesi di Roma.
Ha collaborato nell’organizzazione di eventi con finalità di beneficenza nella zona di Roma e nel
Reatino. L’associazione collabora fin dall’inizio della propria attività con le principali istituzioni del
territorio ottenendo patrocini prestigiosi per le proprie manifestazioni come l’Alto Patronato del
Presidente della Repubblica, la Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri, l’Ambasciata dell’Uruguay,
dell’Argentina e di vari Enti e Comuni Italiani.
The PF Association is engaged in the organization of Musical Festival and musical concert entertainment. They are offering events for the general public embracing music from different traditions as
opera, operetta, chamber music, opera, jazz, blues, tango, flamenco.
They are known to choose prestigious locations for their events, known to have a good eye for
wonderful venues and the taste of wonderful projects, involving internationally renowned artists,
both Italian and foreign.
The events organized by the Association PF are always characterized by a very high quality of the
show and are highly frequented by local and foreign audiences at numerous events. PF is particularly specialized in production of Tango shows realized with the collaboration of artists and internationally renowned dancers. During Christmas period "The sounds of Advent", a series of concerts of
sacred music takes place in the main churches in the Vatican (St. Anne's Church) and the Diocese
of Rome. The Association has collaborated in the organization of events with charitable purposes in
the Rome area and in Reatino. Since the beginning of its activities PF is collaborating with main local
institutions to achieve high reputation and sponsorship for the prestigious events. They receive High
Patronage of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister's Office, the Embassy of Uruguay, dell'
Argentina and various organizations and Italian municipalities.
