A postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Neuroscience, University of Turin,
to work in a project on “Specific cell replacement and circuit rewiring in cerebellar degeneration”.
The project follows two main lines: (1) cell replacement by transplantation of stem or progenitor in
different models of cerebellar degeneration in vivo and/or in organotypic slices in vitro; (2)
mobilisation of resident progenitors by infusion of trophic/growth factors in the same experimental
models. Other research areas in the lab are: (1) specification and differentiation in cerebellar
development; (2) axon regeneration in the mammalian CNS. The candidate should have experience
in neurobiological techniques (basic cell/molecular biology, histology, cell culture, neuroanatomy)
and interest in research on brain degeneration and repair. Application, including CV, list of
