A major exhibition of masterpieces of the
Brueghel dynasty that traces the history and

Dopo la retrospettiva tenutasi in Italia al
Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma nel
1994, a cura di G. Celant, torna nella
Capitale una delle scultrici più importanti
del XX secolo: Louise Nevelson. La mostra
a Lei dedicata sarà la più articolata che si
sia mai tenuta in Italia e prenderà in
esame gran parte del suo percorso
artistico, prendendo avvio dagli anni
Trenta, con disegni e terrecotte, fino ad
arrivare agli anni Ottanta, con collage e
sculture in legno, “untitled”.
After the retrospective held in Rome’s
Palazzo delle Esposizioni in 1994 curated
by G. Celant, works by one of the most
important sculptors of the twentieth
century, Louise Nevelson, will be shown
again in the Capital next spring. The
Exhibition dedicated to this artist will be
the most extensive to have ever been held
in Italy, exploring most of her artistic
career starting from drawings and terracotta artefacts from the nineteen thirties
up to untitled collages and wooden

archaeological area of the Vicus Caprarius, is

Il genio e le invenzioni
La mostra presenta quasi cinquanta macchine
inventate dallo sconfinato genio di Leonardo da
Vinci: macchine per il volo, come il predecessore
del paracadute, una bicicletta, una sega
idraulica e molte altre invenzioni. Tutte le
macchine sono funzionanti e possono essere
toccate e provate, per consentire un’intensa
esperienza percettiva sensoriale attraverso cui
attivare meccanismi emotivi e cognitivi in

rapporto profondo con la materia “Leonardo”.
The exhibition celebrates the universal genius
of Leonardo da Vinci by presenting about fifty
full scale machines: flying machines, like the
precursor to the parachute, a bicycle, a
hydraulic saw and many other inventions.
They are all fully operational and they can be
touched and set them in motion, to grant a
deep interactive experience of understanding
the genius of Leonardo da Vinci.

nuovo impianto basato su un’apertura
centrale e due ali perimetrali. Alla
costituzione del Regno d’Italia l’edificio
passa sotto la diretta competenza della

anthological exhibition that sets out to
highlight the full range of the output of a
painter universally acknowledged to be one
of the greatest masters of the 16th century
in Europe. Starting with the first
masterpieces which he produced in the
workshops of Giovanni Bellini and of
Giorgione, the visitor will be able to track
Titian's complete human and artistic career
right up to his last, moving works, in a fullyfledged 'visual journey' designed.

Nazionale conserva un patrimonio di
oltre 60.000 copie che spaziano dal

Nazionale safeguards a legacy of more
than 60,000 copies of films, both silent
and talking, including an important
collection of Italian-made films as well
as titles that have made a significant
contribution to the history of cinema at
international levels. The Cineteca is
extremely active when it comes to
promoting films too – some 1500
showings of Italian and foreign films
each year in its “Cinema Trevi”, where
classic and contemporary films are
both on the agenda.

The eighteenth-century palace was built in
1765 by Giovanni Paolo Burij on a site owned
by the property of the Order of the Hospital
of Santa Maria della Pietà dei Poveri Pazzi, it
was renovated by the architect Malerini
with a new plan with central opening and
two outer wings. When the Kingdom of Italy
was proclaimed, the building came under
the direct jurisdiction of the newly formed
Province of Rome and became a
representative office.
