Quello che vogliamo testimoniare attraverso le nostre realizzazioni è una
vera e propria filosofia estetica in grado di sintetizzare elementi tra loro
eterogenei, anche se a volte apparentemente incompatibili, dando luogo a
nuovi modi e stili dell’abitare.
In un piccolo laboratorio artigianale “Il Cuoio di Jascia” fondato negli
anni’80 dal maestro e tappezziere Sciagura Giovanni, nasce la passione alla
lavorazione del cuoio e della pelle.
Questa passione continua oggi con Yascia Srl che grazie a Giovanni e figli é
in grado di accogliere, rielaborare, ricomporre, personalizzare arredi e corredi
in cuoio, pelle e tessuto.
Yascia srl è il risultato di una realtà in continua evoluzione.

What we are witnessing through our
achievements is a real aesthetic philosophy capable of synthesizing disparate

During the Years ‘80 in a small craftshop
“Il Cuoio di Jascia” founded by the master
upholsterer Giovanni Sciagura, born the
passion for leather.
Nowadays this passion go on with Yascia
Srl that thanks to Giovanni & Sons is
able to accept, edit and reassemble
furniture and furnishings, develop
customized projects ranging in any piece
of furniture upholstered in leather and
fabric.
Yascia Srl is the result of a constantly
changing reality.

Il pellame è stato uno dei primi materiali che l’uomo ha imparato a lavorare e utilizzare.
E caratteristiche di questo materiale naturale lo rendono malneabile e adatto a ogni uso.
Le pelli prima di essere utilizzate necessitano di un accurato trattamento per evitare che il
prodotto vada in putrefazione ad alte temperature e si irrigidisca a basse temperature.
La “ concia della pelle” è un processo lavorativo che si deve seguire per evitare questi inconvenienti,
porosità cicatrici, rughe, differenze di tonalità non devono essere considerati difetti
ma testimonianze della genuinità di questo materiale così vivo e naturale.
LA STORIA DEI
MATERIALI
Attualmente esistono diversi modi per trattare e rifinire le pelli e il cuoio nell’antichità venivano
cosparse di grasso per renderle più resistenti e flessibili, durante i secoli e con l’evoluzione di
nuove tecniche basate sull’uso di conciare i materiali al cromo o del tannino
(concia al vegetale agli estratti di corteccia).
Il cuoio e le pelli da noi utilizzati per la realizzazione degli arredi,dei complementi,dei pavimenti e
dei rivestimenti in generale sono tutti di origine italiana. Conciati al cromo o al vegetale,stampati
e rifiniti dai nostri artigiani conciatori sono tutti certificati ed all occorrenza possono essere
rifiniti e diventare ignifughi,waterproof,antimacchia, antigraffio ecc
Sono questi gli elementi che ci hanno distinto in questi anni, nella nostra Azienda utilizziamo
solo materiali di prima qualità ed ogni prodotto viene realizzato secondo la migliore tecnica
artigianale evoluta nel tempo.

The leather was one of the first material that man has learned how to work and use.
The natural characteristics of this material make it malneabile and suitable for each use.
Leathers before being used require careful handling to avoid that the product goes into
putrefaction at high temperatures and becomes stiff at low temperatures.
The “leather tanning” is a business process that you must follow to avoid these
drawbacks; porosity, scars, wrinkles, tone differences should not be considered defects,
but the evidence of the genuineness of this material so alive and natural.
Currently, there are several ways to treat and refine the leather, in ancient times were
sprinkled with fat to make them more durable and flexible, over the centuries with the
development of new techniques, the treatment is based on the use of chrome tanning
materials or tannin (vegetable tanning extracts of bark).
The leather we use for the creation of furniture, furnishings, floors and coverings in
general are all of italian origin. Chrome or vegetable tanned, printed and finished by
our craftsmen, they are all certified and at the occurrence can be finished and become
fireproof, waterproof, stain- or scratch resistant, etc.
