Verbs + complement + infinitive
La costruzione verbo + complemento oggetto + infinito è usata in inglese per rendere l’espressione italiana
verbo + che + verbo al congiuntivo.
Un esempio classico per questa costruzione è costituito dal verbo to want (volere).
e.g. Voglio che tu mi aiuti con questa procedura ➞ I want you to help me with this procedure.
Vuole che lui vada con lei alla festa ➞ She wants him to go to the party with her.
Vogliono che li portiamo a casa ➞ They want us to bring them home.
Si noti che dopo il verbo to want è previsto un complemento oggetto; di conseguenza, se si tratta di un pronome,
è usato un pronome personale complemento.

She asked Tim to go to the party with her. (Chiese a Tim di andare alla festa con lei)
She persuaded Tim to go to the party with her. (Persuase Tim ad andare alla festa con lei)
She told me not to go to the party. (Mi disse di non andare alla festa)
She invited him not to call her. (Lo invitò a non chiamarla)
Activities
Costruisci correttamente delle frasi con le parole date, cambiandole o aggiungendone altre dove è necessario
e inserendo il verbo to want, poi traduci in italiano.
